MPO Viewer

MPO Viewer opens your stereoscopic 3D photos and video straight from the camera. No conversion, no computer. A dual-lens camera such as the Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W1 or W3 saves each photo as an .mpo file holding both eyes. MPO Viewer reads them out and shows the pair in five 3D viewing modes, and plays the stereo video those cameras shoot as well. VIEWING Point it at a folder of .mpo photos or .avi clips, on your device or in iCloud Drive, and browse them in a searchable grid or table. Open any photo in the mode that suits you: • Side by Side: the classic pair, for free-viewing or a stereo viewer or headset • Crossed Eye: the same pair swapped, for cross-eyed viewing • Anaglyph: both eyes merged for coloured glasses (Red/Cyan, Magenta/Green, Amber/Blue or Red/Blue), with eye swapping and ghost reduction • Wiggle: the two eyes flicker back and forth, on a timer or as you tilt the phone • Depth (experimental): a depth map built from the pair, warped as you tilt Whichever mode you pick, the pair is corrected first: the two eyes are brought into line vertically and placed against the screen so the nearest thing in the picture sits at the screen plane, which is what keeps the depth comfortable. Any photo can be shown as the camera shot it instead, and the correction can be switched off. Hold a thumbnail to hide a photo or clip, or select several at once; the Hidden list brings them back, behind Face ID if you want it that way, and the file itself never moves. Captions are kept by the app, and Settings can write them out to the folder or read them back in, so they travel with your photos. An info button shows what the camera recorded, down to lens, aperture, shutter and ISO, with a map when the photo carries a location. 3D VIDEO Stereo clips play with sound in Side by Side, Crossed Eye and Anaglyph. FRAMES, CAPTIONS AND SLIDESHOWS Frame photos and clips with a plain border or one of six passepartouts, from a stereo card to a cardboard peep box. Add a focus helper to align your eyes, caption any photo, and run a slideshow through a folder. SHARE AND EXPORT Side by Side, Crossed Eye and Anaglyph export as PNG or JPEG, Wiggle as an animated GIF or a cross-faded video, and Depth as an MP4 tilt-sweep. A clip exports as MP4 at three sizes, with or without its sound, or as a single frame, and a marked start and end limit the export to that span. Exports carry a watermark, and MPO Viewer Pro removes it. ACCESSIBILITY Works with VoiceOver, the largest text sizes, and Reduce Motion, where Wiggle and Depth follow your tilt rather than moving by themselves. If you cannot fuse a stereo pair, those two modes work with one eye. PRIVACY Entirely offline. Your photos never leave your device. No accounts, no analytics, no data collection.
