Still works great
Best general media player for Apple TV, and a decent player for iOS.
Update
Time tO update
Missing Kodi features
This app has promise, but it’s sorely behind in Kodi features. I could maybe even forgive that if it had more skinning options, handled larger databases better, and had Picture-In-Picture mode.
Not compatible with most up to date kodi
So this has become an unusable app
Gdrive
I do not know why you can not add Drive to this app?
Seems to work OK
Unable to find Airplay or Chromecast support. Doesn’t appear to “scrape” properly my TV shows or movies on my home SMB server but it does play the videos properly. My observation so far it is your basic media player and hopefully the above will be corrected or added or I am out of a couple of bucks.

can’t navigate..
app is missing very basic features. can’t navigate from watching video, can’t pause playing video etc..
Good. But!
This app works. It is good. But you can’t leave the app while playing music or it stops. You can’t even drag down a menu from the system without interruption. You can’t lock the device to keep listening either. The screen must be on and in the app.
Kodi on iOS. Yay
Cheap alternative to Infuse. Most the flexibility of kodi and no need to keep plex server running 24/7. Fast too.
New skin Arianna
I like the skin, but I go back to Opacity.. please make the full file list view similar to Opacity in Arianna.. the list only uses a fraction of the screen is really inefficient design.
Hoping for a change to that in the next release. Thanks

Terrible
Buggy, new update renders Plex add on useless. Can’t control video playback without some bizarre gesture to somehow get it to work. Has this actually been tested? Terrible, avoid!
Awful
Just wrong how anyone can charge for this. The controls are just plain terrible.
You can’t go back a screen, swipe don’t work and if you turn subtitles on/off you have to restart the app as you can’t navigate off the screen.

Youtube addon
It would be awesome if it had the Youtube addon, so I could use my own API key with it.
No star for the support team
Nice app and seems well coded, but no support for this app.
I had a problem to load an m3u file with more than 7000 channels, only 446 were loaded, i asked the support team for help and their first replay wasn't pleasant and unprofessional.

Nice basic Media Player interface, KODI - like design, functionality could be better..
This is not (yet) the media center client I am looking for, to view, manage and play my movie collection from several NAS servers.
Since I use the KODI media center app on my Windows 10PCs and like it, I thought MrMC (based on core KODI functionality) would offer me the same on my iPad, for a reasonable price.
I probably won’t use the current MrMC since functionality is too limited for me, but I paid for it and I keep it installed to see if future versions add usability and tools I am looking for.
I tested the app with the Opacity UI. A clean, contemporary design. Very nice. But it’s not a great iPad (touch) implementation, i did not find support for gestures, the lack of a home button means you have to click and navigate back through the layers of features, no easy jump from the end to the top of your long movie list..
Browsing large media collections is slow. One long list with thousands of movies, none of the usual navigation tools like alphabetic selection to show all movie titles beginning with ‘x’.
It appears the UI automatically merges all your movie files from various network source directories together in one long list, whether you want it or not.
Download of cover art and plot summaries works very well. Only one of my 670 test movies was not correctly identified.
Other metadata does not work so well. Review ratings are only found and downloaded for some of the movies when I define IMDB Or MovieDB as source, or not at all from other sources like Rotten Tomatoes. Some movies seem to be randomly marked as HD, others with the exact same resolution are not. File size, data transfer rate or container file types are not shown (mkv, mp4) in the list or movie info. That makes the correct file selection difficult if you have the same movie in several versions. It’s hit or miss.
I still recommend the app for users with smaller amounts of files and less storage or sorting complexity - but of course you don’t really need a media center app then..

Enjoyable media player for ipad
MrMC is the perfect add-on to play media from my NAS. I have the FireTV version as well.
No YouTube, but actually prefer the google version on the iPad anyways.
No add-ons, so no streaming. Not an issue for myself, so a good thing to keep me from collecting add-one for no reason.
Will get apple TV when version 5 hopefully comes out.

Works great with DLNA but not with SMB
Works like Kodi, but when setting up smb it will continually ask for user name when libdsm is on and never connects. If libdsm is off, it sees the smb on Mac mini OS X Mountain Lion but it will not play. Not worth the money if you are using this to connect smbs. Side note VLC for the iPad has the same issue and it is free.

Hugely improved!
I regret not having updated my review for so long. I have been using this on my iPhone, iPad, and AppleTV, and it's great! I've had very few issues with it, especially on the AppleTV. Once the sound issue was fixed (has been working for a long time now), it has been a real joy to be able to watch live cable TV streamed from my HDHomeRun with CableCard. It's also great for streaming recorded HDTV shows from my Synology. Kudos to the developers, and my apologies for neglecting to update my review.
I think there are some areas where it can be improved, especially from the UI perspective, but what it does, it does very well.
Original review:
I already use the AppleTV version of this app (separate purchase), and I love it. So, I had great expectations for this iPhone/iPad version. While I don't like the UI as much, I do applaud them for coming up with a touch friendly version. On the iPhone it is a little more challenging to use due to the size of the buttons, but is usable.
However, there are two main issues that need to be pointed out:
1. The app is unusable (for me, at least) in the U.S. As I understand it, there is a licensing issue with the sound decoding and all of my TV channels have "Digital 0.0" with NO SOUND. After trying many times to fix the problem, I read that you can set your TimeZone to any non-U.S. zone, and it will work. I verified this by using Montreal (similar to New York), and I got "Digital 5.1" and could hear sound. If you live outside the U.S. (or are hearing impaired), this is not much of an issue.
2. The setting to enable "Live TV" is hidden (IMHO). It is in the "Appearance" --> "Theme" --> "Settings" configuration. I had been convinced this app would not support the "Live TV" feature that the awesome AppleTV version has, before I finally stumbled on this buried configuration option. On the AppleTV version, when you choose a "Live TV" source, the "TV" option is under "System" --> "Settings" --> "TV" --> "General" and is labeled "Enabled". It is much easier to find and due to defaults, not very many button presses to get to.
Since I am unwilling to keep my Time Zone set incorrectly, I cannot listen to TV from my HDHomeRun as I can on the AppleTV version. I am hopeful this gets resolved soon. I would like to either find that an update fixes it, or if an In-App Purchase is added, that existing users be allowed to purchase that option for free, since it wasn't made clear that it would be unusable (to people who can hear) in the U.S. at the time we purchased this.
Looking forward to an update that fixes the sound issue. 😀

😢😢
To download the channels I can only do it with Wifi
Absolute garbage
No add-on support from within the app unless you have whatever you want downloaded to your device. This app is completely useless.
