App won’t open

Immediately pops up a message that says something went wrong. Can’t access the app.

Can’t even open it!!

Installed the app. I put my login info in and all I get is a page that says expired page. Page is no longer available. Would be wonderful if it worked!

USELESS. DISAPPOINTED.

Installed to follow up my orders I placed from my pc. And also I thought I can browse items right from my phone. But neither order history or browsing works. Such a disappointment.

Kinda worthless for me as I don’t barcode much of anything

I had hoped to make finding what I needed without having to go to the website.

I was disappointed to learn it is only of value to reorder existing parts

Crashes

07/21/2020 Well I received an email stating that the app had been fixed. It still crashes but now just after I scan the barcode instead of when I open the camera. This would make my life much easier if it actually worked.

(Old review) Would be a good app if it actually ran. It crashes repeatedly. The navigation is a little odd the icons don’t really represent the action that I want to take.

No Login to my Account

The app on my iPad Air does not allow a login. Report no server connection, an error.

Thank you for your feedback. The ControlPoint app is currently designed to work with your smartphone at this time. As a result, you may experience difficulty when using an ipad. We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope to provide an improved interface with multi-device support in the near future.

App doesn’t seem to function yet

Tried to install this to see if it would help build upon the capabilities of the website, but upon installation on an IPad Pro, the application freezes and doesn’t seem to fully load, or provide a sign in. So this means the app is inaccessible. Too bad, hope they can work on a better interface to make this a useful tool.

No ability to create account in app

My current suppliers didn’t have the tap I need in stock so I thought I would try MSC. However to even check if you sell it an account has to be created and the link to do so in app isn’t readily visible. Not millennial friendly. I can’t review the rest of the app because I can’t get past the login screen.

We are sorry you had difficulty logging in to the app. While mscdirect.com is available to search and browse without a login, the App does require users to be authenticated. You can use your existing mscdirect.com credentials to log in to the App. We will also take your feedback under consideration for future enhancements.
