Jands Vista Control

The app does exactly what it says! Controlling Jands is fairly easy. I wouldn’t use a control app to do an entire show, but I would use this app as a backup in case my lighting guy isn’t paying attention during a transition. After reading a couple reviews, I was skeptical that it would work. The other users probably just didn’t have knowledge about networking. Once I configured my network correctly, I had no problem connecting. Great simple app.

Thanks, glad it earned a place as your backup. Version 2.0 rewrote it to speak generic MIDI Show Control rather than Vista only, so it now works with QLab, MagicQ, grandMA2 and Onyx among others, and it's free.

Website for instructions is unreachable.

Can’t get the setup instructions so I’m at a loss.

That was my fault and it's fixed: the setup instructions are back up at rythechurchtechguy.com/vista-lighting-remote-help. The app has also been rewritten with automatic discovery of network MIDI hosts, and it's free now. Sorry you were left stuck.

Not good.

No matter what I do..I cannot get this app to work. When I think of the terrible decisions I’ve made in my life, a lot comes to mind...but one terrible decision I’ve made was to buy this pathetic app.

I'm sorry it cost you money and didn't work. It has since been rewritten with automatic host discovery and a live readout of every message sent, so you can see whether a cue actually left the phone. It's free now, and the setup notes are at rythechurchtechguy.com/vista-lighting-remote-help.

I have done everything to try and connect this to the software got everything connected and it still doesn't work which leads me to believe it never worked in the first place don't waste your money
