Security flag on mac
When I try to use this app to open a .msg file I get this response: ‘Apple could not verify [name of .mg file] is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy’. Having downloaded it from the Apple Store I do not understand why this flag happens, but it means I cannot double click on the file to open it.

Fast and Reliable
I have a bazillion e-mails in .msg format that I need to access on my Mac and this program does it without issue, including attachments.

Crashes when closing the viewer
macOS 26.2. The app opens fine. But when I close the main window at crashes.

Generally works well, but will crash repeatedly on some messages for no clear reason. Also crashes occasionally when closing emails within the app.
Software not working
The search function does not work on .mbox files exported from Apple Mail. Also can’t display or access attachments. Completely useless without a search function
Can’t handle large .mbox files
I purchased this app so I could browse/search a large (8.5GB) .mbox archive. It loads the archive OK, and you can manually click through emails. But the search is extremely slow and crashes repeatedly, making it this app unusable for this use case. (My Mac has 128GB of RAM, so it’s not that)

Works, but constantly crashes
You get to read your messages, but the app is not stable on my system (15.5 (24F74)) and crashes after most messages are opened. It opens again, but very disconcerting.

Great tool
Works great, though I do have occasional issues when saving an email as a PDF in that it will sometimes cut off images or tables on the right side - it’s as if it doesn’t know to adjust its size to fit the full content. Still, this is a great tool. And so easy to use.
Won’t open Mbox Files
I needed to open an Mbox file. This app claimed it could, but when I tried to open it, it said it could not. I guess I got ripped off for $4.99
Does not open text
Rubbish only opens the header not the text of outlook message saved in Dropbox. Why?
Would like it if it worked
This is just what I needed…if only it worked without crashing. I can open a few .msg files without any issues, but then Msg Viewer Pro crashes. After I re-open it and open a few more .msg files, the cycle repeats.

本来就是专门为了打开公司msg文件买的app，结果发现不能用一点，msg打不开，eml也不能转msg，白瞎了38块，骗人！避雷！
Exactly what I needed!
I needed an app to preview and open Outlook MSG files, plus convert them to PDF, and MSG Viewer Pro does all that (and more). I particularly like the QuickLook feature, which is a real time saver. The price is quite reasonable, especially compared to other MSG viewers. So far no problems with crashes as noted in older reviews, and I was pleased to see there have been regular updates so it appears the app is actively maintained.

Does a simple job very well. I often have to view msg files from colleagues, and this opens them and lets me save to PDF easily enough.

If you’re a Mac user, you know that there are always a few apps that you have to install on any new Mac. For me, this is one of those apps. Does exactly what it says.
