What's New in MTG CODEX Life Counter/Scanner

3.8

October 7, 2026

Lifetracker - The board now sits fully below the clock and battery, so the top row of buttons is never covered. - Space added at the bottom so buttons stay clear of the home bar. - Brushing a finger across plus or minus no longer opens the player menu. - The Commander Mode close button no longer hides under the clock. Decks - Each saved deck now syncs as its own cloud record, so big deck libraries keep syncing. Wizard Tutor - Name a card in your question and Wizard Tutor reads its rules text, even if you misspell it. - In DECK DR., Wizard Tutor now knows each card's cost, type, power and toughness. - Your Home chat is still there after the app restarts. Collection - Safer cloud saves. Your previous save stays in place until the new one finishes. - Copy list now marks foils.

Makes deck management way easier

I’ve been using MTG Codex to keep track of my Commander decks and it’s made everything a lot easier to manage. I like being able to keep my deck lists organized, look through my cards, and make changes without having to jump between different apps or websites. The app is simple to use and I’ve found myself opening it pretty often whenever I’m working on a deck. Definitely useful if you play MTG regularly

Amazing

This is a really awesome app and an easy way to praise the price of the cards you have as well. It’s pretty intuitive and also it knocks two birds with one stone with being a life counter as well.

I absolutely love this app! It’s been so helpful to me, from understanding cards as a new player to using the deck building and AI features to help me fine tune my decks. This app brings together the best of all of the other, similar apps into one easy to use, comprehensive bundle. Definitely my new go-to app for anything Magic related!
