FAQ
What is Muddled?
Muddled is a cocktail app designed to help you discover drinks you can make with your current bar inventory. It allows you to track your bottles, see what cocktails you can pour immediately, and even generate new recipes using AI.
How does Muddled's inventory system work?
Muddled uses a variant model where you can mark specific bottles as in-stock, and the app intelligently recognizes generic ingredient categories (like London Dry Gin) for recipe matching. This avoids double-entry and ensures accurate availability.
Does Muddled have ads?
No, Muddled is ad-free. The subscription provides full access to all features without any advertisements or upsells.
What kind of recipes are available in Muddled?
Muddled includes over 100 IBA official cocktail specifications, covering The Unforgettables, Contemporary Classics, and New Era Drinks. It also features curated Bartender Essentials and Tiki & Tropical packs.
Can I generate new cocktails with Muddled?
Yes, Muddled features an AI generation tool. You can create original cocktails based on your available ingredients, or specify ingredients you'd like to feature. You can optionally use your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini API key for this feature.
How much does Muddled cost?
Muddled offers a 14-day free trial, after which it costs $1.99 per month. This subscription provides full access to the app, including all features and Family Sharing.
Can I share recipes with friends using Muddled?
Yes, you can share a recipe in one tap via text message. When your friend taps the link, the app opens, and the recipe imports directly into their bar with ingredient matching.
What devices does Muddled support?
Muddled is designed for iOS and is available on iPhone and iPad. It utilizes native SwiftUI and supports Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In.
