Good but needs some improvement

I really like the concept and the simplicity of the app. After using it for a few days, I realized that it has an important limitation (at least for a musician like me who uses different apps during a practice session): the time keeper and the stopwatch do not work in the background unless the app’s metronome is on. Yesterday, I practiced with a backing track for 40 minutes, but the app recorded 3 seconds. A couple of days ago, I practiced with another musician. I started the stopwatch at the beginning of the session, which lasted 90 minutes. When I returned to the app, the stopwatch marked 5 seconds.
It would be very helpful if the app could track practice time while other music apps, including one’s favorite metronome app, are being used or when the device (iPad) is not actively used. In those cases, the time keeper should include a sound alerting the user when time is up. Additionally, the user should be able to manually edit the time of a practice session in the event they forget to stop the stopwatch. Please add these features, which can significantly improve the app. Thanks!

Incredible tool for guitarists

This app has had such a big impact on my practice in such a short time. I will be using it for years to come. Can’t recommend it enough!

Perfect

Looks great. Easy to use. Exactly what I’ve been looking for in a practice app.

Simple yet feature rich.

I enjoy the very clean UI and love that you can use just as a click or a full fledged journalling tracker. The granularity in settings is great while not being too complicated. I would recommend this app to anyone practicing to a click.

Response from developer

So happy you’re enjoying it! It’s super important for me to keep it useful as “just a basic metronome”. Some users may adopt the more complex features over time, or they may not, and that’s perfectly fine. Happy practicing!

Great practice app!!

UPDATE-2
I miss the “mini metronome” that was removed from the main page in the most recent update! I used it frequently.

UPDATE-1
The developer added the additional timers mentioned below. Thanks!!!!

ORIGINAL
I really like this app! It is intuitive and easy to use, and it has really helped me focus my practice sessions on the areas where I think I need the most work. I use it every day. It’s great to be able to track how much time I’ve spent practicing various exercises. The built in metronome and notes sections are also a real plus for me, as is the ability to custom name (and later edit or archive) the various exercises. Another plus is that I can time my practice sessions on various exercises in two different ways, either using built-in times (e.g. 1 min, 5 min, 10 min, etc), or a using simple stopwatch. If I had only suggestion for the app developers, it would be to add a 2-min interval for timing. Sometimes 1-min is just too short, and 5-min is too long. That is not a complaint, it is merely one user’s suggestion to improve and already fantastic app. Thanks!

UPDATE: Hey, thanks! I’ll put it back in :) Next time reach out via email or Discord, would be much easier to correspond over! Awesome!! Thanks for writing in. I've implemented 2m (and other short) timers, please shoot me an email or join the Discord if you have any other requests!
