About

Inspired by math rock and progressive metal bands, MultiMet is a sequential metronome generator designed to be the ultimate utility for any musical situation you can think of The main tool which separates this app from others is the tempo segment - set a bpm and time signature (or polyrhythm) with a bar/cycle count for one part of a song, then add a new segment with all new settings to be played next in sequence. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination and creativity. KEY FEATURES • Sequenced setlists — play a set of metronomes one after the other, as if it was a song with time signature and tempo changes • Gradual tempo ramps — speed up or slow down from segment to the other, and set when it's time to do so • Polyrhythms — set up to 5 layered ratios with each layer having their own individual sound • Loop regions — select a group of segments to loop many times, with the option to cut the last pass short for... • Alternate endings — add more segments at the end of a loop, then bounce back and forth until you're ready to move on • Infinite loop mode — focus on one segment or looped segment until you're comfortable to play the setlist completely • Bar-counting record mode — play how you think the song goes without second guessing of how many bars there are • Save and Load files — make a setlist of segments for a set or make it one song and save it, then load in for later • Export to WAV, MP3, MIDI and TXT— Generate audio of the sequenced click track for recording a song along to, export a MIDI file full of tempo and time signature changes and then import it into a professional DAW like ProTools, and finally pull up quick text details to share notes with others • Six visual themes, all with dark/light modes • Per-segment customization — use colors, label names and images to give each tempo character. • 12 languages supported - English, Spanish, Japanese, Italian, Portuguese, Mandarin Chinese, French, Korean, German, Russian, Hindi, and Arabic • Haptic beat feedback, count-off toggle, and other quality-of-life options. Have any suggestions/feedback? drop an email • DESIGNED WITH TABLET IN MIND! where you can flip sideways for landscape mode and see your whole song laid out in front of you Some of the Quality-of-Life features: • Latency delay — compensate for audio lag on slower devices or when syncing to a smart watch (will be released soon!) • Haptic feedback — feel the beat, not just hear it • Fullscreen beat visualizer — big, glanceable bars and rings for stage or practice-room use • Tablet-optimized layouts — dedicated landscape and portrait views, with different a horizontal or vertical layout of the tempo segments • Count-off — a lead-in bar before playback starts, with a choice of instrument sounds • Custom beat patterns — accent, mute, or emphasize individual beats per segment This app is made to be there for you every step of the way! Here are some examples this app can be used: - Training with difficult tempos - Conducting a song with different time signatures - Figuring out difficult transitions during band practice - Replacing the metronome in a BandLab or Garageband session - Fine tuning the click track in your next recording session on ProTools or Logic Privacy: MultiMet requires no account, displays no ads, and does not collect or transmit any user data. Everything you create — setlists, tempos, preferences — stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it yourself. What's New in MultiMet

1.6

October 24, 2026

New features Looping & recording • Loop recording: use the record button to count how many times you repeat a loop while practicing. The repeats are written back into your setlist. • New “Record loop from its start” preference: choose whether recording starts at the loop’s first segment or at the currently highlighted one. • The loop button for a loop region is now filled green when it’s on. Count-off • New “Number of count-off bars” setting (1–10). • The count-off button flashes (reversed colors) on each count-off click, instead of a random beat lighting up on the visualizer. Community & sharing • New “Post setlist” button (under the text export) that opens the MultiMet Setlists site with your setlist preloaded. • New “Setlists” button next to Contact in Help that opens the MultiMet Setlists website. Entering numbers • Beats per bar accepts up to two digits and works like the tempo field: each new digit pushes the leftmost one out (21 then 5 becomes 15). • Tapping the Beats per bar or tempo box selects the whole number so you can type over it. iOS audio • The metronome mixes with other apps’ audio and shows MultiMet’s icon in Control Center and the Dynamic Island while playing. Help • Expanded Help section covering full screen, beat patterns, count-off bars, the record button and its loop toggle, saving / sharing / exporting (including Post setlist), and Apple Watch. All 12 languages. Fixes Polyrhythms • Fixed polyrhythms getting stuck in a loop at slower tempos (around 123 bpm and below, depending on the ratio). • The pendulum, and the Cthulhu, Piggy and Shark mascots, now follows the first ratio ring, so a 3:4 swings like 3/4. Count-off • Pausing now stops the count-off immediately instead of letting it finish. • Count-off text is easier to read on Piggy’s dark theme. Visualizer • Larger beat dots on the phone’s main visualizer, with less empty space around them. • Day mode backgrounds on Piggy (sky blue), Chalkboard (pale green) and Shark (pale teal) now match their dark-mode colors. Audio & playback reliability • Background playback is sturdier: the metronome re-syncs after a long time in the background instead of rushing through missed beats, and schedules further ahead while the app is hidden so beats aren’t dropped. • Accent changes you make after coming back to the app now take effect immediately. Clicks queued while you were away used to keep the old accents. • Pausing reliably stops all queued clicks, and pressing Play no longer produces a stray click or a random beat flash before the metronome starts.
