Honestly

Honestly, it’s a lot of work to set up and you have to pay for it. I don’t know how I feel about it. It’s probably not gonna help me memorize my minds more than if I just highlighted them in Brana highly would not recommend.

Good app but needs AI voice controls and prompter

This is a decent app for rehearsing lines however, it lacks two essential things on the premium subscription: speed/pacing controls for the AI voices and a full screen Teleprompter. The AI voices are great, but you cannot control the speed. So they are too slow in their delivery to use in an actual recorded audition tape. If they would fix that problem, this would be the go to app for all self tape auditions because you would not need a live person to read for you. Second, when my lines come on screen, they need to enlarge to a full screen Teleprompter so I can see them from a distance off screen If I’m actually recording a self tape. I currently use the app coldRead. But it doesn’t have the AI voices. If this app could fix the pacing problem it could corner the market for rehearsal apps! UPDATE: Also, can’t figure out how to start the countdown function. It’s greyed out which means it can be turned on somehow or it’s not yet functional. Why add it to the app if I can’t use it when I need it??? Grrr! I previously rated this app a three, but I’m gonna drop it down to two stars. Because you guys need to do your beta testing off-line. Get the whole thing right test it with real people in the background/OFFLINE and then publish your app. This thing has great potential but is not ready for market. It’s OK to rehearse with, but if I can’t use it to create a real audition for submission to Casting directors, the premium level is a waste of money.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback! We’re happy to let you know that we’ve recently added an option to adjust the playback speed with the latest update! We’re also exploring ways to add a teleprompter. Your suggestions are invaluable, and we’re committed to making Muse even better. Stay tuned for future updates! UPDATE: Thanks again for the detailed feedback! Just to clarify, the countdown feature only works when the “Finish Speaking” option is selected; once that’s enabled, you’ll be able to access it. For step-by-step instructions and a guide, you can visit our help page at museforactors.app/help. Please email us directly if you need any additional support and we’ll be happy to help. As well as to provide you with a thank you for being one of our earliest users. Good… with suggestions

I love the app for a lot of reasons. Being able to practice with an AI scene partner is so helpful for my neurodivergent brain.

May I make a couple of suggestions?

1. In the settings for each script, I would love to be able to make a list of characters that always pops up on the drop down menu of partners when I’m entering scenes into that script. As it is, I have to re-enter my character names every time I start a new scene. It slows down the process.

2. I would also like to be able to assign an AI voice to each of my characters so it will auto-synthesize with that voice anytime I enter a line for that character. Having to go through my typed-out script and select the voice for each character is tedious and takes a lot of time that I could be rehearsing.

Thank you!
