What's New in MuseMemo

1.0.2

July 22, 2026

ALL-NEW CHORD DETECTION MuseMemo now transcribes the actual notes in your recording using an on-device AI model, then reads your chords from that real note evidence. The difference is immediate: • Cleaner charts — ghost chords caused by ringing open strings (that Dsus4 that was really a D) are gone • Sharper confidence — the app now knows how sure it is, so the chords you see are the chords you played • Better in every key — detection is robust to slightly imperfect tuning As always, everything runs entirely on your device. Your recordings never leave it — no cloud, no accounts, no exceptions. TIME SIGNATURES • MuseMemo now detects the time signature of your take — waltzes finally read as 3/4, with measures on the true bars • The tempo card shows the detected meter next to the BPM (e.g. "143 BPM · 3/4") • Playing something ambiguous? Tap the new time-signature button on the tempo card to set 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, or 6/8 yourself — the measures and chords instantly re-align to your meter, and your choice sticks A CLEARER CHART • Beat marks are now visible inside every measure, even when a single chord fills the bar — you can see the meter at a glance • Tap any chord to hear exactly that passage, as before SMALLER IMPROVEMENTS • Settings now shows the exact app version and build number at a glance • The chord-visibility setting has been recalibrated for the new engine, so fewer correct chords hide below the threshold • Recording with the metronome still pins tempo and meter exactly — ground truth always wins
