The G music lamp product itself is not bad at all, insofar as it works as intended and claimed. The speakers are decent, not the highest quality but above average given their size. The lights are very good with adjustable speed and brightness with many different preset options to choose from.
The app is ok. Having the owners manual right on the app very useful, especially for anyone like myself who may or may not misplace such things. I’ve not had any issue controlling the lamp through the app.
However, I do have a very concerning issue that has only very recently become apparent! Somehow, someone has connected to my lamp without my knowledge. For the past few days, my wife and I have noticed unknown or unfamiliar notification alert sounds from the lamp. As well as music that neither of us are familiar with. Also, the sounds of whoever has connected with our lamp watching videos that are of the adult category shall we say. Nothing major, we just laugh about it and unplug it for a while. What has concerned us is our lamp picked up a call from another person to whoever has connected to our lamp. As well live in an apartment building, I’m sure one of our neighbors has connected unknowingly to our lamp.
What I need to know is, how do I take care of this issue? Do I need to reset our lamp? How is that accomplished? There is nothing in the manual that addresses this, nor does the developer website have any information or way to contact them beyond an address and telephone number.

App doesn’t work. Phone will connect to the lamp via Bluetooth, but the app won’t detect the lamp, no matter how hard I try or how long I wait.

I have an apple and the app downloads fine but then when trying to search for the light. It doesn't do anything. Can't use the light because the app does not work at all.
Sleep and wake alarms won’t work on app, also manual alarm function is very annoying.
The light and music function is overall pretty good, the music light sync could be better but never mind. The main problem is that there is a alarm that goes off whatever time you set it on the clock, which you can only do manually, but that’s as far as you can get with editing it, you can’t edit the sound or the volume, and there doesn’t seem to be any way to turn it off. I have to keep unplugging the whole thing for it to stop. I’ve deleted all of the wake alarms on the app because they don’t work, but it still goes off. The volume of the alarm is also a big problem because it’s obscurely loud. If there is any way to fix this that would be very helpful. Xx

Great BUT wake and sleep don’t work in app.
This was a gift. Works as far as lights and Bluetooth for music. However, cannot setup or “add” sleep and wake times in app. Was really looking forward to those features. Unfortunately that’s what keeps it from getting a 4 or 5 star rating.
Decent lamp small problem
The lamp is great no issues except for the fact i dont know how to put my own music on it it wont play when i click play in my phone it plays it through my phone not the lamp

So I like the app the lights all the at stuff but I cannot connect my music to it like I want to play music out of it not from my phone and I’ve seen tuts and it’s giving me nothing

Possibly the worst lighting system available. If there was a Time Machine that had one use, I would use it to go back and purchase something half the price yet double the efficiency.
Could have been better
At first it seems good but once you get the app it all starts to go downhill every 5 minutes it will shut off reconnect and repeat for about 39 seconds and it only stops if you take of your phone

On the app I cannot adjust the light setting …. It’s always bright white to wake up …. No matter what colour I change it too.
You cannot adjust an alarm setting by minutes….. you must create-enter the entire alarms settings.
Maximum 4 wake-up alarm settings…..
I’ve reviewed the ‘instructions’ many times, but cannot solve these issues.
This is not worth the money or hype.
The clock is light weight plastic…. Nothing solid about its manufacture.
I’ve gone back to a digital clock (much more solid structure) and my iPhone for alarms.
Disappointed.
Don’t waste your money.

If you’re looking at these reviews and are getting worried, fret not, as most of them are people freaking out over a small problem. The manual can fix the problems, and for the most part it’s just a cool lil thing to have in your room🤷
