If you ACTUALLY want to learn your instruments…

As a musician and multi-instrumentalist with the (unfortunate) trait of procrastination, I've been looking for an app that would help incentivize practicing every day. Granted, I don't have that much trouble picking up the guitar and playing it often. However, I do have issues with deciding what specifically to practice. This app allows me to track everything that I'm wanting to improve in my instrumental skills all in one nice little app (with such a nice UI)! I like that I have the ability to create different routines for different instruments and/or circumstances (i.e. practicing in standard vs. open tuning), and I like the fact that there is a dark mode, as well. The only thing preventing me from buying the Pro version is that I'm a relatively new user.

If I can make a suggestion to the developer, the thing that would make me love, love, love this app is the amplification of the streak system (notifications, please!). As someone who deals with procrastination, I somehow have managed to accumulate a 3,000-day streak in a certain language learning app. I believe that it is due to their obsessive implementation of the "streak" system. I would love for this app to be the all-in-one music competitor to that app, and I believe that it would keep a lot of users using the app as well. Maybe a streak counter on the home page in one of the corners or something? Would be a great incentive to keep practicing!

Regardless, great app—keep going Mr. Developer Guy!

Very Helpful!!

Useful little app. Helping me stay on task daily. Thanks!

Seems promising!

Just downloaded, I’d love to see a dark mode. Thanks!

Time issue

Enjoying the app but for some reason the time played on first exercise keeps showing that I played more than double the amount of time I set it for.

Great app

This is definitely helping me progress

Perfect little app

Here’s what you do.

Decide what items you want to practice, for how long, and at what tempo. 5 items in free version, unlimited in paid version.
Press the button for your first practice item.
Practice at the tempo you set (with the auto-starting built in metronome), for the time you set. Add notes if you like.
Press the button for your next practice item.
Archive practice items if you want (paid version)

Easy to change the order of practice items.
Very easy interface.
Couldn’t be simpler.

I’d give it 6* if I could.

Very useful

This is the only app I could find that lets you create practice routines with bpm metronome so you can gradually improve on anything. I’m using it to learn different parts of a fast song and I can have an exercise for each tricky part and gradually increase the bpm day after day until I can play at full speed.

The only downside is there’s no ability to have multiple routines. I would like to have a routine for each song so I can learn multiple songs and easily switch between them. Quentin, can you please add this feature?

Almost perfect app for guitar practicing

I love this app. It gives me 95% of what I need for my practice routine. There are three things I'd add to this app to make it perfect: 1. Dark mode option.
2. Option to keep the display always on during practice - this will allow me to peek on an image or text mid practice.
3. Option to record the practice session (audio only and/or video) - this will allow me to compare my progress.
Overall, it's a great app with some room for improvement. Great job with it!

Simple but useful app for a learner.

I’m learning guitar. Trying to slowly master fingerpicking. This app is great for storing those various practice exercises I find on YouTube. You can set a duration for each one, and each exercise can have its own specific metronome beat. It’s a really handy app that will help structure my practice.
