About

Hit the pad. It's already playing. Music Soundboard is for people who cue live - announcers, podcasters, DJs, theatre and event sound. Build a board for each show, tap a pad to fire it, and stack as many cues as you need. No hunting for the right file while the room waits. GETTING YOUR AUDIO IN • Share straight to Soundboard from Voice Memos, Mail, WhatsApp, Dropbox, Safari — anywhere with a Share button. • Your sounds sit in the Files app, so you can drag a whole show across from a Mac in one go. • On iPad, drop files straight onto a board. • Import several at once, and let track names come from the files' own tags. RUNNING THE SHOW • Tap a pad to play it. Tap again to restart from the top, or to stop — your choice, set per sound. • Play as many cues at once as you need, and ride any one of them from the transport without opening it. • STOP cuts everything dead. FADE takes it all down over three seconds. • Level meters on the transport and on every playing pad, so you can see what is still running. • Sound keeps going when you leave the app or lock the screen. • Send it to the PA over AirPlay, or out to whatever is plugged in. SETTING EVERY CUE UP FIRST • Trim the start and end on the waveform, so a cue opens on the beat instead of two seconds of silence. • Set a level per sound, so nothing leaps out mid-show. • Loop a bed of ambience. Solo a cue so it silences everything else while it plays. • Name and colour every pad and every board, and drag them into the order you want. • Duplicate a sound, move it to another board, or swap its audio for a different file. • Search across every board when you cannot remember which one a cue is on. ON IPHONE AND IPAD One purchase covers both. Five columns of pads on iPad, and the transport collapses when you want more of the grid. New here? Start with the demo board and you will hear what the app does in the first ten seconds — then delete it in one tap when you are ready to build your own. A one-time purchase. No subscription, no accounts, no ads, and your sounds never leave your device.

What's New in Music Soundboard

2.3

August 18, 2026

Soundboard now needs iOS 17. This one is mostly under the floorboards, but two things you may have felt are fixed for good. • Restored your iPad from a backup and found every pad saying UNPLAYABLE? Your sounds are found again automatically on the next launch. • A pad whose audio has genuinely gone missing now says NEEDS FILE instead of UNPLAYABLE, and there's a new Relink missing audio button in Settings for once you've put the files back. Also new • Trimmed cues now stop exactly on their out point, instead of up to half a second late. • The timer, progress bar and meters keep moving while you scroll a board. Fixed • Deleting a pad no longer leaves its audio file behind eating storage, and deleting a big board is much faster. • Re-importing a file you'd previously deleted no longer produced a pad that wouldn't play. • Your own audio in the Files app is never touched when pads are deleted.
