Lovely for beginning music students
I’ve used this app for several years for beginning music concepts with young music students. They especially like the instrument matching. I also appreciate that you can choose to exclude certain activities if you don’t want that option or if it isn’t something a child is ready for (like note naming). I’m using it now with my 3yo and she loves it. And I just discovered there are other games like this! We hope to try several more.

Great!
This is a great little app with basic theory questions and fun little impromptu music activities along the way. I love the fact that it keeps moving, spending only a short while on each concept. To make an improvement I would let the child know -when they have the concept of soft to loud or the tempo in order of slow to fast - correct. Grandma could recognise when they have it correct or when they are having trouble.

Music with Grandma
My 3 year old grandson loves this app and although he doesn't understand everything he just keeps guessing and laughing all the time. It is very entertaining as are all the apps in this series.
As part of a bundle
Purchased with the cooking, toolbox, and outer space apps with Grandpa & Grandma. Nice learning apps, especially the music one. I wish it had a few more exercises in reading notes on the treble clef. Also wish it had more "follow the music pattern" games. Still a quick intro into musical symbols and instruments.

Love fair lady media apps in general just purchased this app and closes when you start to play the drums ??? Please fix the bug thanks
Excellent app for music exposure
Yes, the dancing grandparent is silly, but that's this series' trademark and younger kids love it, this particular app can bridge over to a slightly older audience say 5 to 8 yrs and is really good for learning basic music concepts, what different instruments sound like, music notation, etc. It offers part of a keyboard to practice on and tests note names and has fun little games to reinforce concepts. Very worth the price. A nice addition to the collection.

Fun But Needs Some Tweaks
I use this app during piano lessons with children ages 7 to 10. Most kids, I've noticed, think the cut scenes where grandma dances are pretty stupid and lame. The developer should take those out or make them optional. It really is kind of lame. There needs to be more content added, too, so that the questions don't repeat as quickly as they do now. Overall, it's a good app, and I hope the developer keeps on improving it.

I get no sound either on the iPhone or the iPad, despite an update of the up. Therefore useless at present.

Another great app from Fairlady
My daughters (5 and 8) love all the apps from Fairlady Media and this one is no different. As their dad is a musician they were excited to learn even more about music and love to play this game. I like that they have fun and LEARN at the same time!
