New iPhone 16 iOS 18 not connecting
This continues to work on older iPad/iPhone, but not connecting from new mobile. Can’t find documentation or troubleshooting to address.

Pretty Shabby
Given the expense of the X14 unit, one would think that it would at least have a reasonable app. This app doesn’t:
1 connect well
2 have an intuitive interface
3 allow for random play
4 allow for easy labels and cover art for albums and artists
5 generally limited and clumsy
There are great app designers working for countless companies that could design this app in their sleep
It’s shameful how bad this app is given the simplicity it requires. Two stars may be one too many.

A Bed Full of Bugs
This app is awful and Novatron has done nothing to address it's inability to reliably connect to the streamer. I am currently using MConnect as a workaround.
Streaming
I am delighted with the app and the UI and speed are excellent.
The only problem is that it works only with my cocktail audio x40. I wish I could stream from the app to other upnp players in my home.
To do that I have to switch to mconnect app and use my x40 as a server.
Please allow streaming/casting/Airplay from the app so we can use the beautiful UI.

A huge mess
Buggy. Buggy, Buggy. A shoddy mess.
Too many bugs to even attempt to list.
I can’t say whether the problem is the app
or the Denon firmware, but either way this
setup is an embarrassment to the Denon
brand name. I will never again buy Denon
hardware that requires software support.

This app is horrible
All the previous reviews are right on. It works when it wants to especially on the iPad. For the amount I paid for the Cocktail X45 I would expect better. The X 45 has numerous glitches also. I’m sorry I bought it. I have been putting up with problems and difficulties in use since day one.The sound is great when it works, but between this app and the X45 it is a totally frustrating experience.

One star is too many
I don't know what happened between the time reviewers said this app was an improvement and now, but this is an unmitigated disaster. The iPad and iPhone apps do not recognize my Cocktail Audio X45, and thus do not work at all.
The MacBook version does work, to the point that I've almost figured out how to use it. The abandoned web interface was so much better, requiring two clicks to accomplish what now the app takes six to do.
The MacBook app, however, takes an unexpected nosedive at least 3-4 times an hour (if not more often). No matter how many times I've sent a report to Apple each time it crashes, no improvements seem to be on the horizon.
I love my Cocktail Audio X45 streamer/server, and I loved the web interface I'd used for years. But this ham-handed app greatly diminishes the value of Novatron's audio products, and I wish their app designers would realize that.

Garbage
Does not login 90% of the time. Have to login in to tidal every time. Once you get it to work. Love it.
Inconsistent
Keeps losing file,track album,artist after a few minutes. Will sometimes or usually plays one or two songs in a selected album. Very inconsistent,slow on cocktail audio device.
Software unreliable
I have multiple network servers with IOS apps. Music X Neo is the worst by a considerable margin. Often it cannot recognise my Cocktail Audio server. It is a shame as my N15D is a nice device when I can get it to work. I will never purchase another Cocktail Audio piece of equipment. Changing the brand name in the UK has not fixed their horrible software interface.

Amazon music no longer working
Latest update seems to have stopped Amazon music working from within the app
Tidal / cocktail x50d
Wow! A definite improvement! I use TIDAL with my cocktail x50d without difficulty. I can control the volume from one device to another, from my iPhone to my iPad, and vice versa, during the same musical piece. I can build up my playlist between my different albums without losing the current listening. Great job!

Worked once now unusable.
Tried to connect to x45 but the Cancel area overlapped device area so kept cancelling every time I used. Why need a cancel in first place? After several attempts when it does work a message flags up “unable to connect to App server.
Slow, Slow, Slow
App times out while trying to access my Tidal Account. Takes over 4 minutes to access Amazon Music account. If Sonos can do it, why cant you?

Volume control does not work. Permanently stuck at 30
So much better than the old novatron music x app
A few bugs still (and some typos) but this is a HUGE improvement - for instance if you switch apps and come back to the app - it stays where you were even for iservice music - you don’t have to navigate all the way back like you did with the old app.
