Used to be great
I paid for the premium version of this app and it has completely stopped working for me. None of my music files will play. I emailed the support contact and have heard nothing back. Super disappointing.

Great app with one annoying visual flaw
I've really enjoyed using Musicbox so far. However, there's no way to adjust the font size, and that's a real usability issue. Many album and song titles are cut off mid-word or shown as ellipses, which makes it frustrating to navigate or even recognize what's playing, especially with longer filenames or detailed metadata.
A simple option to scale the font size down (or allow smaller text for title views) would go a long way in making the app cleaner and more readable for users.
Looking forward to future updates. Great potential here.

Too many playlist problems
Playlists don’t sync between my Mac and iPhone. Nonexistent customer support. Not worth it.
It just works!
I simply 1) put my music files in a folder Dropbox, then 2) browse to that folder in Musicbox, and 3) press “download”, and 4) all that music appears in Musicbox on my device! Then I play that music on my device. It sounds simple and it is, but so many other players fail to do these seemingly-simple things.

I was hoping Dropbox would come up with something like this for years but just found it and I'm so happy to be able to stream my music finally anywhere without selecting one track after the other! Thank you 🥳
Eine Bessere Alternative zu Apple Musik?
Ich habe eine umfangreiche digitale Musiksammlung und habe bisher die Musik-App von Apple genutzt. Allerdings stört mich, dass die App ohne ein abgeschlossenes Musikabo an vielen Stellen einschränkend oder nervig ist. Daher habe ich meine gesamte Musiksammlung in die Dropbox übertragen und die App Musicbox verwendet. Nach der ersten Synchronisation, die zwei Tage dauerte, waren Cover, Alben, Interpreten usw. sauber in der Musikbibliothek eingeordnet. Auch der Player lässt keine Wünsche offen. Ich habe zuvor einige andere Programme ausprobiert, aber Musicbox übertrifft alle – und das für weniger als 10 €, ohne Abo!

I’d like to like it more.
With sorting non-functional and no way to tag and filter its usefulness for me is limited. It was easier than writing my own, but that’s temporary, because I need stronger functionality 🤷♂️
Purchased premium but it did not last
I purchased premium. When I broke my screen premium was not recognized and I’m running limited.
Big improvements
There was time when this app wasn’t working quite right a few years ago, somehow playback was just borked, I tried to get a kite to the developer, but apple was stupid about it and thought I hadn’t bought the app — then, lo and behold, the developer updated it and made it performant and so feature rich— it’s my favorite jukebox app ever. My hat is off.

In theory this can work great, however it’s impossible to get music into it and the workflow is just poor. Test your app before releasing.

Best music player on iOS
Finally found a music player comparable to PowerAmp on Android. Clean and simple to use UI. Premium version is well worth the money for ad free experience.
Premium doesn’t work
Paid for premium. Says I can add any cloud service but still only lets me use Dropbox.
Helps with Music Production
As a music producer needing to listen to my countless bounced sessions, this is a perfect application. For a while there were some bugs but the new update has solved them - I think 👀. The interface is sufficient and simple enough to be a pleasure to use. The features are also very useful like EQ and playlist capabilities. I rely on this app for my workflow - I was heartbroken when the glitches prevented my use. But now so far so good.

The best music player for Dropbox!
Amazing player! With the recent update works flawlessly again. Treats a Dropbox folder just like a track list, you can seek, works perfectly with my car’s Bluetooth, repeat, & shuffle also work perfectly. Use it as a constant part of my music production workflow.
Good but with caveats
I like how it looks, controls and streams music from my Dropbox, setup is easy too. Major issue is while it can stream and play flac files, they don’t get added to the music library for some reason, seems like a bug or oversight but is quite annoying.

Before this last update, I would have given it 3 stars; constant crashing and whatnot. But the new GUI is great, and it seems like most if not all problems were fixed! Thanks!
