No lifetime?
It’s great, don’t bet me wrong. But I don’t want to pay money for something that just isn’t worth it per month.

Hi there, thanks for sharing your thoughts. MusicPutty is a long term project for us. The app you see today is the result of years of iteration, made possible by the support of our subscribers. That support also allows us to continue improving the app in the years ahead. We understand that subscriptions are not for everyone, which is why we also offer a free version with many of the app’s core features. We hope you can still find it useful!
Great app, but…
Response from developer
Hi amiorganic, thank you for the feedback! While it is not exactly the same as what you described, we do have a similar preview feature. Right now, you can preview a note by pressing and holding it. This works in the standalone app, but unfortunately it is not fully supported when running as an AUv3 plug-in in some DAWs due to limitations of the AUv3 format. We appreciate the suggestion and will keep it in mind as we continue improving the app.

Horrivel
Response from developer

Response from developer

Hi, thank you for your feedback! The pitch detection is designed to be accurate within about ±1 cent. If you ever notice a case where it seems off, you can send us an audio sample at autumnrockdev@gmail.com and we’ll be happy to take a closer look.
Not great :(

Hi nachogunk, thanks for the feedback, and sorry to hear you feel this way. We are constantly working to improve the app, so it really helps to hear what did not work for you. If you are up for it, we’d love to know more, especially what felt confusing and where the pitch detection or shifting let you down. Even better, if you have an audio example where things sound "iffy," feel free to send it our way. You can reach us anytime at autumnrockdev@gmail.com.
bug修复
Response from developer
Response from developer
Hello, this problem has been fixed in the latest 2.3.1 update. Thanks again for letting us know about the issue.
Excellent App but grossly overpriced subscription model
Response from developer
Thank you for trying
Vocals dont sound natural in app... most cause the lack of connecting box to box line to line
Like logic can....
I'll resub once its there...?
Have to still bore myself with ol reliable logic...
I really wished this was less glitchy
Response from developer
Hi steelfootkilla, thanks for reaching out! MusicPutty does have specific logic for handling transitions between connected notes. When you shift a note, the app automatically adjusts the connections between that note and its neighbors. You can also fine-tune these connections using the legato tool. That said, we're constantly refining the app, and there are definitely cases where things can be improved. If you come across a vocal phrase that doesn’t sound quite right, feel free to send us an example at autumnrockdev@gmail.com. We’d be happy to take a closer look and see if there’s anything we can do.
Easy to use
So good
Great App
Unaffordable
the pro version is expensive that I can’t even take it
I will never use it ever again
Response from developer
Hi FreshyToonz, sorry to hear you feel that way. At the end of the day, MusicPutty is an extremely complex project to build, and similar desktop tools can easily cost hundreds of pounds. The price we charge is the minimum needed to sustain the work we do. That said, MusicPutty offers many of its core features for free, and we hope you can still get a lot of value from the app, whether or not you choose to get the pro version.
Why not offer a lifetime option?
Listen if you are NOT providing a SERVICE, then SUBSCRIPTIONS should only be used WITH a LIFETIME fee!
If you offer a service… ie Cable, electric, heat, Internet, or you have a monitoring service like security, life hack, ring, or if you offer data storage that is being used… THEN I UNDERSTAND…
But you have an APP … yes an app you developed and spent many hours working on, and probably many more updating bugs, and coming out with new improvements… but that DOES NOT constitute a reason to charge a monthly or any type of subscription fee!
I said that if you do have a monthly yearly because it gives people an adorable trial then FINE, but you SHOULD offer a LIFETIME option!
I really feel that if we consumers do not just stop downloading apps ALTOGETHER that are subscription based apps, then we are in for REAL trouble.
We need to STAND against devs making an app (that offers NO ON GOING SERVICE) Yet charging a weekly, monthly, yearly subscription and please don’t say it’s because “You are always updating your apps!”, bc you MUST do that to stay on APPLES AppStore !!!
Sorry I just don’t understand why Apple’s App Store doesn’t have standard on (subscription) it’s ridiculous!
There is some developers who (if they choose) should have the option… such as (let’s say) has a coloring book app and is adding 100’s of pages of new art daily, or even a musical instrument learning tool app that provides updated content for practice… but for an app that could work without an internet connection (meaning besides updates to the app, there is NO NEED to be hooked up to the internet)
Then WHAT justifies a “service fee” subscription fee????
Response from developer
[Response to the updated review] Hi Thirdnail, Thanks again for reaching out! The short answer is that subscriptions fund the continuous development of MusicPutty. As you correctly pointed out, in order to stay on the App Store, developers must continue to update their apps, but those updates cost time and money. This is exactly why countless music apps without a sustainable business model have disappeared from the App Store. Our goal is to build a long-term, reliable tool that will stay around and grow for years to come. Since the initial launch, we've released a ton of new features, including AUv3 support, various advanced tools, timing adjustments, time stretching, and many others—all made possible through continuous development. At this very moment, we’re working around the clock to get the next 2.2 update ready for release. We understand that subscriptions might not work for everyone, which is why we’ve made part of our app available for free. However, at the end of the day, the support from our subscribers is essential to ensuring the app continues to grow and doesn't become abandoned software that stops working after a few years and eventually disappears from the App Store altogether. Once again, we truly appreciate your support and hope you understand! [Original Response from 2022] Thank you so much for your support! The first few updates will focus on making the app work well with an "import & export" workflow, that said, I am open to adding AUv3 support once those are all finished. Cheers!
