You know the song. But there's a version you haven't heard — the night they played it acoustic, the twelve-minute live take, the remix that never made the album. Apple Music holds all of it. It just has no way to show you. musicRedux reads what you already play and goes looking for the rest. HOW IT WORKS 1. Pick where it should read your taste: your most-played songs, the ones you've favorited, or any playlist you point it at. 2. Choose what to look for — acoustic, live, remix, or all three. 3. Tap Generate. The playlists appear in Apple Music alongside your own. ONLY THE ORIGINAL ARTIST This is the part that takes real work, and the part most search results get wrong. musicRedux walks each artist's own catalogue — every album, single and live release they put out — rather than searching titles and hoping. Every track is then checked individually against the artist who made it. No covers. No tribute bands. No karaoke. If Eagles didn't play it, it isn't in your Live playlist. YOUR CHOICES A playlist for each kind, or everything merged into one. Match any of the kinds you pick, or only recordings that are several at once — an acoustic live take, say. How deep to read: your top 100 songs, or your top 1,000. WORTH KNOWING Run it again and you'll get different versions. When a song has six live takes, one is chosen at random, and the playlists are rebuilt rather than added to. The same library gives you a different playlist every time. Big libraries take a few runs. Searching happens in batches to stay light on Apple Music, and artists already searched are remembered, so each run is quicker than the last. It works from song titles and the albums they came from, because Apple Music doesn't label recordings as live or acoustic. It gets it right nearly always, and occasionally not.
