Okay, But Not Great
The primary musical terms I lookup are tempo terms so that I can setup my metronome with bpm. There are no bpm indications listed.
The first non-tempo term I looked up was 'motif'. That term was not there either.
The app is Okay, but it could be a lot better.

Waste of $1
We needed a dictionary for piano lessons. The first word assigned--motive--was not in there. Seems a bit ridiculous.
Nice pocket dictionary but...
This is a nice reference book, but, I wish that I was able edit or put notes somewhere in this app.
Perfect for learning!
This app has very simple definitions and is very easy to use. I am using it to teach music terms seen in the songbook at church. Highly recommended!
Not very thorough
I wanted to look up two words "tonality" and "modality", the fundamentals of music, and they were not there.
Needs more information!
It's not bad, but it needs more information, and more pictures along with the definitions. I can't exactly search an image, nor could I describe it in the search bar and have it come out. As of now, this is not worth even the dollar I paid for it. This would make a good free version, and a larger information database would be worth the dollar. I probably won't even look in this app again until there is an update.

Fantastic
Great little piece of reference material in my phone. As a music teacher who operates music studios over 3 counties I'm glad I leave the music dictionary at home. My only complaints are, 1) I wish I could enter definitions myself and 2) more info, 500 definitions is a god start but when is the next installment?

Great app but
Please format for iPad users!
Needs visuals. For the notation, a clear picture of a rest symbol for an example. Showing where it goes on the staff. Visuals visuals visuals! The bookmarks are cool. So, you can save definitions.

AP Music Theory student
This app is terrible. If you are a new musician and dont understand tempo markings or basic things like cresendo and decresendo...
then its perfect.
otherwise there is not enough information. period.
it will not help anyone.

I am taking a very basic music class at my school and bought this to see if It could help me with basic terms, but so far not one term I needed to kno has been in this dictionary, I want a refund!!!
Very good & Love it BUT need sound
Inquiring minds
This is an extremely unhelpful dictionary. For instance, it doesn't list common terms like countertenor or contrapuntal. I'm deleting it from my apps.
Mr
Not enough info. Disappointing. Too generic.
Wow
Goodgoodgoodgood~~~~
Not for the gigging professional.
Nice app for student or amateur player or music enthusiast. But not a substitute for a good pocket dictionary in the instrument case or good reference dictionary near at hand in one's practice room if your requirements are more serious.
Finally!
Finally! I've been looking for a nice music dictionary and now I have one. I'm a band director and sometimes a word comes up in the music that even I have never seen. Taking my iPhone out of my pocket to look up the word with this app is great! The UI is great and the definitions are accurate and clear to understand. Thanks for creating a great app!
