Lyrics don’t upload and customer service is nonexistent
Faulty app
No widgets available for CarPlay, no sync with songs, the 7 days for trial is not true, they automatically enrolled before the 7 days, money wasted, is not always connected with your apps, faults when the song is playing, in overall I’m disappointed with this app

Not the app to use if you actually want to contribute.
I got this app for one simple reason, to fix the wrong lyrics to one of my favorite songs now. I went to post a new song on my Instagram notes and realized the lyrics were so abysmally wrong it was laughable, so I look up where they’re pulling their lyrics from, turns out it’s this very app they pulled these lyrics from, which by the way, is full of incompetent random “contributors” who fill out the wrong lyrics instead of just going to “genius.com” where the OFFICIAL lyrics are quite literally shown. And on top of that, of COURSE the contribution option of editing said wrong lyrics isn’t an option due to being locked because “our contributors have already fulfilled lyric duties for the song”… THEY ARE THE WRONG LYRICS, AND THEY ARE SO BLATANTLY WRONG AT THAT. Do these contributors not have ears or any sort of peer reviewed processes while writing these lyrics they very obviously don’t know whatsoever?? How ridiculous.

I am trying to go through academy to add lyrics to my own music that’s on Spotify and it keeps giving me an error. Pointless for this purpose. All I want to do is add lyrics to a song that is currently on Spotify and I can’t with this app
Can't do the Academy and can't get into slack
The Sync one just straight up doesn't allow you to hear the music, and i have nowhere but here to go. I also cannot get to the Slack as i never get a nohomeforheroes email. I tried to ask for help but there's nothing but the help center, which just tells you to go to their slack for bug reports, but again i can't join the slack.

Buggy app, not worth the money till fixed
Thank goodness I tried the trial first because. First after connecting to the music app, the lyrics still won’t show or show the song it’s currently playing (on musixmatch) restarted the app about 4 times then it started working. Second the delay is too much for CarPlay and on my notifications. Words never really sync with lyrics. Third when the app does start working it pauses the lyrics on CarPlay/notifications after a song is changed. You have to either restart the app or press the refresh button which still doesn’t work until maybe 4-5 tries. I’ve tried it first with my IP11promax then my 14/15promax and results are the same. Really disappointing I hope the devs put some effort into the app genuinely. Really wanted lyrics on my apple play but oh well

Dragging the line for word syncing is not good. How about tapping each word? So it can be more accurately and easily done.

I am trying to cancel my subscription, you can’t do it from the app or website, talked on line with their AI agent, who suggested to write an email, which I did. The email sent me back to talk with the AI agent because they have high increase request and they will reply within a month.

The lyrics workflow is ridiculous
Paying a subscription or going through all the verification hoops with my gov ID just to upload my lyrics to Spotify is absurd.

First of all, this is a scam because it doesn’t let me play the songs and also doesn’t allow me to make a playlist

Lyrics don’t upload and customer service is nonexistent
Absolute garbage service if you care about lyrics
TL;DR - Inaccurate lyrics more often than not but the app is too buggy to make submitting corrections feasible.
I run across horribly inaccurate lyrics on Spotify all the time, often MusicMatch curator verified. It finally annoyed me enough to go through the contributor and curator training process so I could help fix them. Boy was that optimistic of me. The experience of using the MusicMatch app to edit and sync lyrics is atrocious. What's more, they will confidently attest that egregiously incorrect and nonsensical lyrics are correct and verified by a curator, with no easy way to rectify or report them. They're so hands-off it's appalling.
To set the context, you must connect a Spotify or Apple Music account to MusicMatch to sync lyrics. No surprise there. However, MusicMatch struggles to maintain that connection. I was persistently presented with a popup to reconnect my account while I was trying to edit lyrics, not even in sync mode. It was extremely disruptive and annoying.
Secondly, when there are syntax errors identified during submission validation, the error message interface doesn't visually correlate to the syntax errors, leaving you to go figure out what error it's referring to yourself.
Lastly, I can tell they tried to make the lyric sync process as simple as possible, but the first song I synced has the final line occuring within 2 seconds of the end of the track, and the app returns the sync marker back to the beginning of the song & lyrics before it reaches the timing mark for the line. And the app won't allow you to submit without syncing every line. The only way around it was to listen to the song on Spotify and watch the timecode, then go into fine adjustment mode in MusicMatch and force it into place while MusicMatch tries to restart the track on you the whole time.
The second song I attempted to submit lyric syncing for was equally frustrating. After I took the time to meticulously sync each line, verifying I hadn't missed any, I pressed Submit and was informed that I wasn't permitted to submit until every line was synced.
This is especially frustrating given how meticulous the required training is to start curating. Give me the right tools to meet your standards. Don't make the process onerous.
Last comment on the training materials. Several of the musical passages don't match the answer options, leaving the trainee to infer the correct answer by other means. Yet there's no way to report aberrant questions. After my experience using MusicMatch from a contributor perspective, I'm no longer surprised that there are so many blatantly inaccurate, "verified" lyrics on their platform.

Unusable sorry state of an app
What on God's earth is this app. It has more glitches than features and barely functions. I tried contributing to one song with countless interruptions and glitches, and after finally syncing the app, it gave me a double-line error which I could not figure out for the life of me, after which it decided to mess up the lyrics anyways.
And basic features like the karaoke or lyrics sync doesn't work properly. Everything is extremely slow, I genuinely find it hard to believe this organisation has contracts with Fortune 500 companies. Utterly ridiculous.
