great app but instrument switching doesn't work

hi great app but when i select different instruments for any given track, the instrument does not change - any work around for this?

Response from developer

There are two volume controls: One in Player settings and one in MIDI-In Settings. To hear the changed instruments, turn down the Player Volumen and turn up the MIDI-In volume. Check the Channel settings if you then do not hear anything. I known, this is not very intuitive, but quite powerful. Hope that helps.

It’s not working for me.

Dear Support Team,

I'm finding your music player app somewhat difficult to navigate. To improve user experience, I suggest creating tutorials or guides that demonstrate how to utilize the app's features.

In its current state, the app doesn't seem very user-friendly. Simplifying the interface or providing clear instructions would greatly enhance usability.

Thank you for considering my feedback.

Best regards,
Victor Yakubu

Couple of bugs

Overall love it! A couple of things 1. I can no longer download files from the cloud. Program spontaneously quits and returns to home screen. Any help?!? Not useful if I can’t load midi files. 2. I can find no way to arrange the files in the local folder. I need them in a certain order. They are numbered so if it would put files in alphabetical order that would work. I spend wasted time scrolling to try and find a file. Again, any help?!? I have iphone 12 pro max running 17.1.2

UPDATE:
Thank you for the recent update. Files appear in alphabetical order in local folder and I can download files now.
However now I cannot change sounds. No matter how I configure the midi it will not play a sound program change. Seems fixing one thing caused another bug to pop up. Let me know if a fix might be possible or if I am not doing the correct things to make the sound program change work.

Response from developer

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I can confirm both issues. When I rebuild the app and run it on my device, both issues are solved. So I will update the app soon.

Not working with OS 14.2

The program stutters and then crashes since I updated OS 14.2 on my iPhone and iPad. Any bug fixes planned? Still my favorite app. I use this app a lot to learn songs. Is there a way to view only 1 long keyboard to see triggered notes? My eyeballs get quite a workout. Thanks!

Response from developer

The app crashed and stuttered because of an iOS 14 bug. There is a workaround in the current version. Thanks for the nice review. The problem with one keyboard is that it would be very small because we must divide the screen width by the number of keys. Please get in touch at https://sites.google.com/site/muskapps/support.

Fills a need in iOS music making

4.5 Stars. I bought this only after the recent update because IAA, AB3, and Core-Midi support was added. I can now easily load one midi file or more into an AUM or AB3 session to drive another synth or even record the midi output. There are midi workstations out there but sometimes I just want to use a single midi file i created or downloaded to use in an AUM session and this fills that need perfectly. If it was AUV3 it be 5 stars. Great update. Really like the App, and glad I purchased.

IAA is broken. Importing sfz and sf2 files doesnt work

Midi files that should play instantaneous (including your example midi) take ages to play or freeze. IAA is broken. Garageband reports error on trying to load it. Importing sfz and sf2 files doesnt work. Needs updates now

Very nice

This is the first app I can find that can play midi files in their true glory. The only problem is that I don't know how to install other sound fonts. Other that that, very nice!

Frau

Funktioniert nicht. Völlig unbrauchbar wegen Ausetzern. Wirklich rausgeworfenes Geld.

Läuft nicht auf iPad 2

Immer Aussetzer und Unterbrechungen. Steht leider nirgendwo, das es auf dem IPad 2 nicht läuft. Geld verschenkt!

VERY POOR!

Can't play midi's properly on my iPad...delete this!

Good Midi player

This is a capable and comprehensive midi player with the ability to tweak many of a midi file's settings. The app would benefit from some form of manual as the navigation and use can be a bit tricky. That said, response from the developer (via google user group) was quick and helpful.

Only plays vibraphone and sine.

I wasn't expecting to be able to change the instrument. That is a plus. But there is only two instruments. Those instruments gets quiet at low pitch. This also means that this app only plays those instruments on your midi files, regardless of what instrument your midi calls for.

disappointing

It doesn't send MIDI signal through inter app, only audio so the click is completely out of sync. There is no way to see the tempo within the app either. Don't waste your money like I did.

Great app!

Well thought out. Very easy to use.
