About
Mustr is the K-12 emergency communications platform built on the I Love You Guys Foundation's Standard Response Protocol (SRP) and Standard Reunification Method (SRM). It puts the same five protocol triggers — HOLD, SECURE, LOCKDOWN, EVACUATE, SHELTER, plus ALL CLEAR — that your district already trains on into every staff member's pocket, with the safety rails a real K-12 deployment needs.
WHAT MUSTR DOES
• SRP-native triggers, not generic alerts. The exact protocol your staff trains on, with a 3-second press-and-hold gate so a real LOCKDOWN can't be triggered by an accidental tap. Drills are a regular tap and are unambiguously labeled.
• Realtime + push + SMS, in parallel. Server-Sent Events drive the live admin and mobile UI in roughly 125ms. Expo Push wakes phones in pockets. Twilio SMS catches stale tokens. Idempotent dispatcher with retry ladder + dead-letter queue.
• "I'm safe" check-ins per staff member, per event. The Command tab shows live counts of who has and hasn't checked in, by school and by zone, so the Incident Commander knows immediately who needs to be located.
• Standard Reunification Method on a tablet. Encrypted guardian list, government-ID verification, photo capture for chain of custody, append-only release ledger that Postgres triggers refuse to UPDATE or DELETE.
• Nine NIMS-aligned ICS roles adapted for K-12 — Incident Commander, PIO, Liaison, Safety Officer, Operations, Planning, Logistics, Finance/Admin, Reunification Coordinator. Reassign with one tap; every assignment is timestamped.
• Complete incident export. Every trigger, attendance report, zone report, ICS assignment, staff check-in, and message is timestamped and downloadable as a PDF the moment the event closes.
• Live SIS sync — PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, FACTS — with a Postgres-backed sync queue, conflict resolution, empty-response safeguards, and 3-strike alerting so a SIS outage doesn't quietly stale your roster.
PRIVACY & COMPLIANCE
• FERPA-aligned by design. Mustr operates as a school official with a legitimate educational interest under 34 CFR §99.31(a)(1)(i)(B).
• Per-district AES-GCM encryption seals guardian PII at rest.
• Tenant isolation top to bottom — cross-tenant IDs return 404 to prevent enumeration.
• 5-role RBAC re-enforced on the server inside every state-changing call.
• Right of access (FERPA export) and right to be forgotten with a 24-hour cancel window.
SAFETY DISCLAIMER
Mustr is NOT a 911 replacement. In any real emergency, call 911 first. Mustr coordinates the response that follows. The app shows a mandatory "call 911 first" acknowledgement on first launch.
WHO MUSTR IS FOR
Mustr is intended exclusively for K-12 district staff (administrators, teachers, safety teams, reunification coordinators). Each district provisions its own users; there is no public sign-up.
