Needs improvement
Lately the app is not allowing me the option to place books on hold. It only allows me to see which library the books are located. I like to place the books on hold to pick up at the closest library. It’s inconvenient to have to check through out the day to see if this has been fixed and randomly it will give me the option to do that. The frequency of this working is decreasing

Requesting isn’t working
The past few weeks the ability to request items, the main reason for the app’s existence, hasn’t been working

This app does everything it says, even syncs well with the Libby audiobook database . Excellent job!
Not functional
Does not work on iOS 18.3.1. No source of help available. Locks up every time, every re-download.
Never, ever works…
Search for a book. Select the book to reserve it. Book never comes up. Screen just flashes.
Search and loading errors
The search function does not load properly and other than the homepage, nothing else seems to open. It is useless.
Search functionality is very frustrating!
I would like start by saying that I am overjoyed the MVLC has an app and that my life is so much better with this app in it. However, searching for titles can be very frustrating! Because the app is trying to be helpful and make suggestions about what it thinks you are trying to type, it makes the search experience very laggy and I’m always misspelling what I *actually* want to write. Would love to see this fixed!

New Year, New App!
I was so sad when the old app broke and could no longer be used. However, the MVLC worked very quickly to release a new app, and this one is even better than the old one! Easy to use and a great interface. Thank you, MVLC! I would be lost without my library
1/28/24 UPDATE CLEARS THE APP FROM PHONE
I used to be able to at least pull up the app and use my digital library card with no issues. It has NOT been working really anything else for months. Was told they are no longer going to provide this service (and to use the website). Here I thought… oh, they resolved whatever matters, here is a new update 🤦🏾♀️. The app is COMPLETELY BLANK NOW!

Agree with previous reviewer. This used to be a great app and now it’s not connecting to the catalog and my account is not updated. Hope it is fixed soon

Not sure who is maintaining the app, but it hasn't worked in a while. No longer connects to the server.

Bugs
I loved this app and used it all the time to hold books and book tickets. Recently it stopped connecting to the catalogue and now won’t open at all. I hope it fixes soon! Will update my review when it does
Great simple app but no longer working
The app is simple but has been great to do basic tasks until recently; now whenever I try to do anything (including login) it errors saying “unable to connect to server”. So unfortunately I can’t use it anymore!
Recent issues
I use this app all the time - but recently it’s been buggy. Unable to connect to the catalog, not updating my holds/requests. Not sure what’s going on, but I hope it get backs to working soon! It’s probably one of the most-used apps on my phone.

Clunky, outdated, and slow. Why is there a giant blue wall as soon as I open the app?
Works but bad design
The app is functional but has a confusing and outdated design. I would really like to see some effort put into a redesign to make it look and feel more modern. Disappointed to see that they brought back iOS 12 support- that seems like it could be a source of both the outdated design and infrequent updates. I look forward to keeping my eye on this apps next few updates in order to revise my rating.

Very Good
Though it looks quite a bit different from the website, the app itself does a great job. Finding, placing holds, etc, it does the job. One nitpick: no access to lists. Using the suspend feature more, so not too big a deal thus far.
