It works…until it doesn’t
I’ve been using the app with my XR18. It’s simple and functional. My only issue is that on occasion it looses connectivity with the mixer on one or more channels. When it happens I have to reboot the app to restore the dead channel. I’m hoping that the developer addresses this in a future version.

The app looks great but still it is poor compared to its previous version. Multiple windows to just set normal things like EQ, sends, etc. no more show and scenes saving. Forget about the copy and paste , buttons are there but do not work. No preset loading. The app is unusable, however we appreciate the effort, may you’ll improve in the future. Thanks

Different, but good functionality
If you were used to the old X Air app, give it up (or you’ll be forced to, soon).
First the good: the capabilities and functionality are pretty good. The EQ adjustments resemble the desktop version, which is easier than the previous app. I’m still learning it, but it appears to do everything I need it to do.
The bad: the previous app had a clean looking GUI; all phasers were on one screen. On this app, halon phasers are on one screen, half on another. Also, this app makes you open windows to make adjustments. The nice thing is that from the windows, you can select a different channel and adjust it right then and there.
Conclusion: I’m sure this app will grow on me as I become more acclimated with it, but I do miss the clean, simple look of the previous app. Overall, it is a capable app, so far.

iPad app crashes immediately when trying to connect to xr18. Please fix app to work with ios26!
X32 rack 4.09 fail
Won’t connect
Good to see
We have been using xair devices for years, and the lack of a mobile app on android, and an aging app on iOS was concerning. I am very glad to see this new application Available to both android and iOS. It works well for our needs, and we are looking forward to more updates in the future. Thank you for continuing to support these excellent devices.

Long way to go
I think they should have left the old apps available until this one was fully developed. Assuming my iPad offloaded for space and now it won’t download because it’s no longer available. I can connect to our X-Air but not our X32. It sees it, and starts “Transferring Parameters…,” and just hangs up. Can’t very well give feedback for improvement if we can’t connect and use it.

Totally unacceptable
Was advised that the old M-Air app for Midas has been superceded by this app, and that I should be using this instead.
All this app can do is levels. That’s it. How is that even close to being a minimum viable product for any end user?
None of the key functions (that Music Tribe actively promote and advertise on these mixers) are useable with this app, meaning they’re not usable at all.
Seriously considering returning my Midas mixers, as this is genuinely laughable.

Broken with Promise
I was an early user of this through TestFlight. It showed a lot of promises of the future, but as of right now, the app is a dud. It is not loading up as it should be and is broken in some areas. Right now, I can use this app on three different soundboards (X32, XR18 and XR16). Only the XR18 parameters are loading on the app. Additionally, the effects do not load at all and the meters button force closes the app itself, along with going to the individual channels to change things like EQs and levels. As of right now, I would declare this app completely unusable, but it can be built better.

Limited Approach
While I understand more features are coming, this seems like fundamental change will be needed to even approach where the X-Air Edit app is, and this is slated as it’s replacement. Visual feedback is limited to that in the FlowMix app, so no representations of EQ or dynamics in the main view.
The biggest issue with the other app is the mute buttons being where your thumb can hit them when holding the iPad - still like that here.
It’s hard to imagine this becoming an improvement on X-Air Edit.

Hopeful
The good: connecting is easier and more stable (have tested with X32, XR12, and XR18).
The bad: so many missing features (mute groups, fx control, recording control, settings, etc).
Looking forward to giving this app 5 stars when it’s finished.

Promise of a Future?
This initiative indicates that Behringer is in the game and looking to improve the X Air operational experience. I am seeing something that looks like it is resembling the X32-Mix app. If so we are headed to something good. I give it 3 stars for a middle of the road neutral rating. As the roadmap progresses and the software improves I’m sure my rating will improve as does the software.

Doesn't Connect to my X18
The connect window just keeps spinning around. On iOS 16.6 on a 6th generation iPad. Clicking on Demo acts like it's connected, but it says I have an an X32 -- but I have an X18!
