I have some important conversations saved in Gallery, but it won't let me see the files.
Good! But there's a Problem.
The problem is; when I open a MXit App and click on the links, then it displays like a normal chat and not like a real Application. That would be great when I click on a link it takes me to the next page and doesn't show the previous page still. Thank you!!
Crash and burn
First: it crashes most of the time, ok every time you try to add rooms.
Second: Why do you need to accept a service room like local chat rooms? Didn't you ask for ut to be added in the first place?
Conclusion: well, the look is great but the feel is not there. It looks like you guys spent most of the time and effort on the look and forgot about the end user and program stability.

I'm about to give up, please help!
It seems like lots of people don't like mxit much, but i'm not concerned about how this app looks or anything, ot about apps that might be better, i just want to be able to access mxit! This app used to crash occasionally but i put up with it because i enjoyed it once i got on. But for the past week i have not been able to access it at all. I have pressed the icon literally hundreds of times and every single time the m screen comes up and then it crashes. I still have an iphone 3gs with ios 5 so it's not like anything changed on my phone. It just stopped working overnight. If anyone from mxit ever looks at this or anyone has had this problem and knows what to do please say what i should do!

Can't use two profiles, Have to re download Mxit just to log on to another profile.
Another thing is the "searching contacts", "sending voice notes ", "changing color & font".
Please fix!

Maybe if more ppl rate this app or give it a higher rating they might consider actually updating this app after all this time...they may feel that it's useless updating a app that lil people rates or likes i'm giving it a 5 star hoping for the best and more people to join in
Mxit needs more work- Has potential
Okay so the reviews are not good on this app and yes it does need more work but it has some potential
Improvements need to be made and fast.I use mxit everyday and the reason I gave it 3 star is because it needs to be improved to the 4.5 star region and right now the potential is being, wasted!!!

Works Great but only one problem
Thanks for all the hard work. I hav been here since the beginning with the iPhone 2g and no mxit was available. You guys hav worked really hard and much is appreciated. Running an iPhone 4 now and all works well. Multitasking is brilliant and looks really great in my point of view.
Only one problem with the new version. Everytime I login old messages show up as new messages. I'm up to at least 10 messages when I login. It's getting worse cuz friends send me offline messages so I hav to check them all before I can clear them. Please please please can u fix this problem. Would be much appreciated.

Coming along nicely
Thanks for the updates guys. Much appreciated. The app is working well for me. Haven't tested multitasking yet though. Just 2 suggestions:
1. Please optimize graphics (background, icons etc.) for iPhone 4's Retina display.
2. FYI the icon that you guys use in the app store (the new hi-res one) has not been put as part of the install of the app. The same old icon is being used (it looks noticeably low-res on the Retina display)

Good app
This is a good update, the inclusion of the ability to download and install skins are great though other features have yet to be implemented such as "sound" customization and the ability to somewhat multitask, also in respect to multitasking, I suggest you take a look at an app called "Nimbuzz" which multitasks excellently. Thank you, for the "good" update, keep them coming and improving.

What the....
All you people that think u know everything. The app is made for south Africa mainly, can't multitask due to the iPod/iPhone! Not the mxit team! Is cheap. Works perfectly, every1 under the age of About 25 has mxit. The mxit team has done a good job, now stop complaining!
Why mxit is cool... Ish
As much as I hate the problems with the app, it is extremely useful! If you live here in the states, and only have your states friends, you WILL be disappointed,VERY disappointed however if you have overseas friends (in my case my girlfriend) it is a lifesaver. I can talk with my girlfriend for hours and hours, for free. Believe me, they desperately need an app designer who can actually make the proper features work, but for now, until they fix it, I love it

Effectively unusable.
I haven't used Mxit on my iPhone since it was first released a while back. I decided to give it a try again and to my horror it's still very poorly implemented.
For starts, if you have an iPhone 3G and running iOS 4, then it's effectively useless. Extremely sluggish in the menus. Almost impossible to chat to
One contact without the application hanging or freezings fir a few seconds. It's locks up when a new message is received and for some ridiculous reason, you have to scroll up to see messages.
Honestly, you are better off with out this installed on your phone. Some times, not having something is better than having something that doesn't work.
May I suggest you guys work on at least an iOS4 version that at least works!!!

Work on it
Okay, for the first two months it worked fine, but then I started adding more contacts, and now it won't let me log in or anything! I have alot of people in South Africa that I can only keep in touch with through this app, so pleeeeeeaaaaaasssssseeeee fix it.
Can't open active chat?
okay thought after the last update they would fix the problem. I can't open active chats. I get offline messages but I can't seem to read or even see who they are from. it just crashes and closes the application. Come on guys work on it. otherwise it is just a useless application that is just accumulating some space.

It's a great app now after the update. Havn't have not found one bug yet. MXIT rocks! Had it for years as a java on my mobile.
It's Mxit, which makes it great but this iPhone version has many flaws.
Any South African with an iPhone is going to download this. I'm one of them - it's great to have Mxit back, but this app is not the polished version that the Java version for ordinary phones has become. The program crashes, is the only one of my apps to ever give me warnings about low memory, chows my battery and has a TERRIBLE user interface.
To the makers: thanks for bringing Mxit to the iPhone, but please make it the Mxit experience we were hoping for and have become used to on other phones.

New version is a great improvement!
This new version is much better, the MXit team did a good job! Was very pleased to see that the autocorrect feature is built in, but it doesn't appear to be working? Have turned in in Preferences. But, once again this is a big big improvement.

How much longer until this new version is approved by apple and available for download?
i havn't had as many problems with the first version as most people seem to have. however, certain letters, symbols or numbers make my chat screen go blank until i get a new message, i am completely unable to send or recieve pictures, cant save send or open saved messages, i cant purchase anything from tradepost and neither can i access anything in my gallery. other than that the app works great :)
hope those issues are resolved with the upcoming version

Bugs and horrible GUI spoils this app
I've used about 5 different version of mxit since the service was first launched, on different handsets, but the iPhone version is definitely the worst. The app constantly crashes for no reason, dumps memory and now suddenly doesn't want to login. The GUI is also terrible and disgusting, gone is the seamless navigation between contacts and various menus. Now we are faced with a bulky and huge dropdown-group view skin and without the abillity to change even half the settings. And the emoticons! The are UGLY!!! What were they thinking?
This app is riddled with tiny bugs that make it a hassle to use. The interface needs work, lots of work and bribg back all the settings that were possible in the java versions.
