Transaction shenanigans with Apple Pay
If you have an Apple Card, and you use Apple Pay to pay for gasoline, be ready for shenanigans in the Wallet app.
I have an Apple Card and I use Apple Pay (via this app) to pay for the gas but then the transactions themselves will disappear from the phone entirely after the transaction has cleared. —Weirdest thing, they just disappear forever.
Anecdotally, I don’t have this problem with other gas stations (eg Chevron, Mobile, Shell, etc.), their apps work well and the transactions always remain in the wallet app. — I can pull up every transaction for every gas station I’ve ever purchased using my Apple Card with Apple Pay except for 76.
I contacted 76 customer service, they were useless, and sent me a canned response. I tried it again after a few months, same issue happened. I would rather pay a few extra cents a gal and not have to deal with the shenanigans.

Gosh was it easy setting up this app and using it at the pump!
Watching the new gentleman on his first day of work assisting customers with a great big smile was the cherry on top! He and I were both excited and impressed with this app!

My 76 Station is full service so the attendant read out the screen at the pump,” Adjusting price!” ( by far the best part of the app) !!!
I enjoyed it so much I made an Instagram video about using the app to save cash on increasing gas prices!! Thanks 76!!

Need a setting to change default grade of gas when searching
They should have a setting to change the display price on the map, based on the grade of gasoline you need. As set now it is always regular, but my car needs premium so it would be helpful if the map displayed all premium prices. I can’t find any setting for that.
Huge plus for gassing up!
Our town is notorious for high gas prices, but the 76 station near our house is consistently lower than the competition. So figure in the app discount, tie my Sams Club card to it which gives me another 5 cents per gallon cash back, and this is a sweet deal. App functions well, too!
Best E85 in So Cal
I only use E85 in my Chevrolet Silverado. I’ve used other brands at premium stations to find out it’s not their product as stated on the pump.
Those brands are never consistent and do cause drivability concerns. Loss of power etc.
I am a 33 year automotive ASE master technician and a California licensed smog test and repair technician. You can’t argue with me! Union 76 E85 is a amazing blend with no power loss or weird concerns!
