Es wäre sehr hilfreich, wenn die BMW App eine Push-Benachrichtigung senden würde, sobald eine Tür, die Heckklappe oder ein Fenster geöffnet bzw. nicht vollständig geschlossen ist – insbesondere wenn man sich nicht mehr in der Nähe des Fahrzeugs befindet oder das Fahrzeug über einen längeren Zeitraum abgestellt ist.
So könnte man beispielsweise auch unterwegs schnell erkennen, wenn man versehentlich eine Tür oder ein Fenster offen gelassen hat. Eine optionale Benachrichtigung nach einer frei wählbaren Zeit (z. B. 5, 15 oder 30 Minuten) wäre hierfür ideal.

Very little works…and uses ‘dark patterns’
Why do I have to agree to marketing just to save my preferences? If I do not accept one of the 3 options, the ‘save’ button is disabled and the only option is to skip…which doesn’t tell you what will actually be turned on or off.
Also, why the ‘dark patterns’ in these options? Is there really no way to make these options clearer between refuse and accept, as dark grey vs black does not imply yes or no / refuse or accept. Can you not simply make them GREEN for accept and RED for refuse…or would that make your creepy analytics collection too obvious to users???
Recently decided to use the app to book a service from my local dealer. This system allowed me to choose time & date to drop it off, and what service I require. Unfortunately the day before I get a call from the dealer to say I’ll have to change the booking (to 2 weeks further away) because the app doesn’t have the correct diary info. WHAT’S THE POINT OF FORCING CONSUMERS TO USE THE APP OR WEBSITE WHEN THE INFO ON THERE ALWAYS SEEMS TO BE INCORRECT??? My last visit was a while-u-wait ‘fast lane’ oil service to be dropped off at 8am…and I got it back at 5:15pm…because they don’t offer a ‘fast-track’ service despite it being an option on their booking!!!

Very Poor App
Each time it has an update - my trips data does not sync to app for couple of days
GPS car location
The latest updates are very slow to update the location of my car. The first time the wrong location was recorded was a few months ago. I don’t often check. I thought my car had been stolen. Previously it updated location as soon as I open the app. Please urgently fix. Never
Not suitable for EVs
The app has never been great or geared towards ev’s (I really don’t need a service plan to change my oil). Recently, the app was updated so now it’s an absolute pain to use the flexible charging features of my energy supplier. Next car won’t be a BMW if this isn’t fixed.
Poor for EV charge timer
The My BMW app is virtually useless when it comes to setting an EV timer to take advantage of off peak electric rates.
It is impossible to reliably set a charging schedule. More often than not, the app simply ignores the settings and charges the vehicle in peak rate periods potentially quadrupling the cost.
Even more frustratingly, there is no option to stop charging remotely once charging has started.
For as EV owner, reliable charging control is a basic and essential function and this app fails badly in that respect.

Es gibt Luft nach oben
Nach dem Austausch der Batterie, den ich selbst vorgenommen habe und der ordnungsgemäßen Registrierung habe ich jetzt nach der dritten Woche und einigen hundert KM immer noch die Warnmeldung, dass meine Batterie aus Altersgründen meine Aufmerksamkeit benötigt und getauscht werden sollte. Zwischenzeitlich hatte ich einen Kundendienst bei meinem BMW Händler, habe das angesprochen und die Reaktion war freundliches Lächeln mit dem Hinweis, dass das ewig dauern könnte, auch wenn der Zustand der Batterie als sehr gut diagnostiziert wurde.
Ich habe meinen Kundendienst über die App registriert, bekam von meinem Händler auch die Bestätigung, die App forderte mich munter auf, meinen Kundendienst anzumelden. Meine Fenster wurden als offen angezeigt, waren aber aber geschlossen.

App has disappeared from widgets
Since the update it’s the bmw app is no longer available as a widget?! Why??? This was such a useful option as I could see fuel range at a glance without clicking into the app.
Trips data
Mostly good but on the 1st day of each month I get a notification saying my trip reviews are available. Yet every month, when I click it it says, ‘data not available’. It often appears several days later or not at all. What is that all about?
Update experience
Had to set up personal assistant in the vehicle again after the last updates.
Does not update preferred dealer
After buying a used BMW even after saving my local dealer as the preferred it always defaults back to the one saved miles away by previous owner
Type a location for navigation and it brings up my contacts
It’s a car app not Facebook or instagram for goodness sake.
Pretty Pointless.
Doesn’t show petrol, range or tyre pressure. Not worth the effort…..

When I access the wallet then custom tariff it constantly says Data Unavailable, is there a fix coming for this ??
TechFrustration
The BMW tech constantly gets confused between my and my wife’s profile and even when we have identical profile settings, we find these settings get randomly changed without touching them. Simple example, we set the charging output limit to 10amp on all settings car and app - only to find the car has randomly turned this setting off. There is a new random surprise every day. Today’s surprise - the app has just decided not to sync with the car. The tech is so glitchy it is ridiculous - and its a source of constant frustration.

Completely unreliable
The navigation element of the app is good, as is the location finder and car info such as tyre pressures, status etc..
The really unbelievably bad news is the trip/journey analysis of fuel consumption and average speed. It stops working at random and cannot be fixed permanently by BMW through dealerships. Why BMW provides a useful (when working) app that is so unstable seems rather stupid but that’s exactly the situation.
So much for customer care.

Full of bugs
After the update the app has stopped communicating to the car. Doesn’t send locations from app to car anymore. No option to go back either. Would need an immediate fix as I’m more reliant on app locations sent to car which is much easier and practical.
Lost comfort access and trip history after update
Lost comfort access after update. Buggy app that no longer shows any of my trip history despite it working for 6+ months.
