A calmer Today, a new splash, and a new way to see what quitting does. TODAY FOLLOWS YOUR CLOCK The app now opens on a painted meadow with Buddy floating in it, then settles into a Today screen whose sky changes as the day goes on: sunrise in the morning, daylight through the afternoon, moonlight in the evening. Clouds drift past during the day, and at night the stars twinkle, with the occasional shooting star. The app's name is now its painted wordmark, and Buddy sits below it, larger than before. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU QUIT Ready to Quit Smoking? has a new section: a recovery timeline of eleven milestones, from the first twenty minutes to fifteen years. Add the day you stopped smoking, and the time if you remember it, and the app counts how long you have been smoke-free and marks every milestone you have already reached. It also tells you what is coming next. Haven't quit yet? The timeline is still yours to read, and you can set a quit date whenever you feel ready. The milestone information comes from the World Health Organization, the American Lung Association, the CDC and the American Cancer Society. Every source is listed in Settings, under About. EASIER TO READ Buddy is back in the picture banners on Meds, Breathe, Learn and My Care at larger text sizes. He used to vanish from them the moment you nudged your text size up a step, which was never meant to happen. Fixed banner titles being cut short at ordinary text sizes, so Breathe & Move no longer reads as "Breathe & M...". ALSO FIXED Scanned food barcodes are now saved properly, so a product you have already looked up comes back without another trip to the internet.
