It tracks you to your exact location. City State and Zip Code.
That is not a VPN.
Not updated in two years
The issue is that it hasn't been updated in two years, and sometimes it mess up the connection or the apps.
The other app from the dev has been updated recently (August 2026), so that means the dev is active. Not sure why this app is abandoned.

The app also doesn't accurately measure data usage, usually measuring lower, but sometimes measuring high--in 1 month it can be as much as half a gb off.
This app doesn't measure individual app data use.
All this makes me wonder if it's VPN is secure; there are often warnings that the connection is not secure,

So it largely defeats the purpose of “private browsing” modes, though those will still block cookies.
I’ve just emailed the developers asking them to fix the problem.
Aside from this VPN problem, My Data Manager does what’s needed very well, and more. It tracks your data usage and puts up an alert when you’ve used 90% of your quota. You can set your own custom alerts, such as at 70%.
It also shows your expected usage per billing period based on your average daily usage so far.
So, mostly a great piece of software, free of charge. If you don’t need a VPN with real privacy, it seems to be perfect.
