Good App
I have been using this App for several years. Although I find it useful to track data usage, I find it a mistake by the developers to have disabled the App capability to show cell sites used as the user moves around. For this reason, I rate it 4 stars.

(When was the last time this was updated all the reviews are from years ago) I haven’t really gave it a shot to see how it manages my data and idk if the vpn is actually working to keep my phone from getting viruses but when I open a link on safari and it “could be unsafe” the con from this app lets me know so I’m thinking it’s okay I’m nutral on the app rn I’m not sure how I rate it yet so we at a 2 for now till I really give it a shot

Bugs
The app puts all usage at once, when check it; it can be from days. It says there is wifi usage when there has been no wifi connection or even when wifi was turned off. Also the connections are repeated hundreds of times in the connections list, and sometimes connections are appearing when both wifi and cellular is off.
The app also doesn't accurately measure data usage, usually measuring lower, but sometimes measuring high--in 1 month it can be as much as half a gb off.
This app doesn't measure individual app data use.
All this makes me wonder if it's VPN is secure; there are often warnings that the connection is not secure,

VPN
Don’t really understand VPN but had to turn it on to get the app to work. I’m on holiday in China and needed a quick app to track daily mobile data usage. Great graphics love the daily usage chart. I haven’t used any of the other features but I’m sure they are as useful as the Mobile Data Analytics

Please fix the issue on bandwidth usage, for example, it jumps from 150mb to over 4gigs in a split second.

If you want real privacy, don’t use the VPN. It keeps and easily shows a list of all the sites you’ve visited, including the ones you’ve visited while in “private mode.” This even applies for specialized privacy browsers such as Firefox Focus.
So it largely defeats the purpose of “private browsing” modes, though those will still block cookies.
I’ve just emailed the developers asking them to fix the problem.
Aside from this VPN problem, My Data Manager does what’s needed very well, and more. It tracks your data usage and puts up an alert when you’ve used 90% of your quota. You can set your own custom alerts, such as at 70%.
It also shows your expected usage per billing period based on your average daily usage so far.
So, mostly a great piece of software, free of charge. If you don’t need a VPN with real privacy, it seems to be perfect.

Wifi turns off on download
As soon as I deleted the app my wifi started working again

May have been orphaned
I used to find the app very helpful in tracking usage and avoiding overage charges. However, the data usage that it now shows for this month is wildly inaccurate. (I don’t use the VPN functionality.) The help desk is no longer available, there have been no updates for two years, and the link to App Support goes to the app on the Google Play store. Too bad. It was great while it lasted.

App is Causing Routing Issues
A number of my apps are not functioning correctly when this application is running. Disabled the VPN and everything is working perfectly. Apps largely affected are Mail and Pokémon Go. Have to disable it until this app is updated and the bugs are solved.
Three stars because it has worked before but it needs to be updated to keep up with the changes in iOS.

Many have reported serious problems with the optional VPN, so I use NordVPN. Aside from that, it does what’s needed well, and more. Tells you your expected usage per billing period based on your average daily usage so far. Suggested and customizable alerts when you reach a particular percentage of your available data per billing period. Also tracks wifi usage. And more.
