Way better than ChatGPT or Gemini for health
I was diagnosed with a rare neuro-immunological syndrome and thought I would try out My Doctor Friend to research proposed treatments and supplements as well as to identify any alternative conditions with a similar symptom profile so that I could be well-informed before my next specialist appointment.
I was very impressed with how much more accurate and detailed My Doctor Friend was for health-specific queries than either ChatGPT or Gemini—both of which I have spent hours on researching my condition. I would definitely recommend this app to anyone who wishes to advocate for their own health.

I found my doctor friend very easy to use. It provided great advice regarding medical concerns and issues for my spouse and I. It provided clear options for treatment and we loved that it showed us how confident it was in its recommendations. I would strongly recommend using this app over waiting in urgent care lines

Better than ad hoc googling
I like that I can privately build up my healthcare history and get answers based on a more comprehensive view of me. It's a lot better than searching symptoms with google!
Heart condition evaluation
I recently had a series of heart-related tests and visited a cardiologist. Out of curiosity, I entered the entire tests into the my doctor friend app. It in turn asked for a series of questions relating to my age and other health conditions and habits and provided a preliminary diagnosis and recommendations. When I entered more info a couple of days later, it took this into account and refined the diagnosis. Very impressive!

Great medical information without pandering
A chatbot that offers needed information and is not hesitant in setting one straight when their hypothesis is incorrect (chatgpt, I am looking at you). The separate profiles are very helpful, and there are often short-term and long-term outcomes and goals given.

Used this to ask questions about a cold I’ve been having trouble with! It had a good response to me and was quick. It seemed to know partially when I need to escalate care as well!
Kidney transplant
I’m going through a medical review to determine if I’m a suitable donor candidate. After providing medical information, the app identified topics to discuss with the transplant team. Not being a medical professional, it’s important to have some insight into appropriate questions to ask. Thank you!

This app has made a real difference. I have cancer and see a medical team regularly, but this app fills in the gaps. It’s solved symptoms for me, organized my scans and blood test results, and even built me schedules for my meds and supplements. I chat with MDF 4-5 times a day. It’s a key and vital part of my care team!

Straightforward onboarding, legitimately innovative features (eg: symptom tracking + care seeking). I really appreciate how it goes far beyond the limited “chat” paradigm.
Absolutely superb
I'm something of a pioneer in patient empowerment, so I've spent countless hours using LLM's for medicine, especially ChatGPT. But this new one quickly became my favorite. Differential diagnosis wheel is hot stuff when I have a new topic, yet I've also been able to take it very deep in pursuing complicated issues.
Especially important is how it lets me manage a separate profile for every family member I'm helping with their medical needs. Nothing else does that.
Also, for anyone who is concerned about keeping sensitive information truly private, this app has protections that nothing else does. I think it's the only one that really understands what's different about medicine and patients compared to any random AI user.

Having a profile is really useful, so I don't have to keep entering the same information. because the app is HIPAA compliant, I feel my privacy is respected.

Helpful with Type 1 Diabetes
As a type 1 diabetic, I struggle with maintaining a consistent blood sugar level while exercising. My Doctor Friend is really helpful with planning out my exercises and runs. Because I have a profile set up already, the app is really specific about what foods I can eat before exercise to maintain blood sugar and energy.
