The journal has been updated with improved privacy, reliability and easier evidence management. Added a new privacy setting that lets users choose whether the app opens with the Wildfern Journal cover or directly to the Profile Access PIN screen. Improved PIN access, background locking, inactivity protection and Quick Exit behaviour. Improved the incident timeline with clearer dates, searching, sorting and category filters. Improved incident recording, including photos, videos, audio notes, severity ratings and detailed incident categories. Improved media handling so existing photos and videos can be selected from the device gallery. Improved backup and restore options for locally stored journal entries and attached media. Improved evidence exports, including clearer incident summaries and more reliable file sharing. Improved the private journal and ordinary diary layouts with softer fonts and clearer navigation. Removed unnecessary or identifying wording from backup and export filenames. Fixed problems affecting saved entries, diary backups, display themes and attachment previews. Improved startup performance and general app stability. All journal information remains stored locally on the user’s device unless the user chooses to export or back it up. Access the DV journal by tapping the leaf at the bottom centre of the screen 3 times within 3 seconds to access the PIN code to access the DV app.
