Very bad application

not working

t always pops up with error and retry its so annoying

Awful in every possible way

Really difficult to use. Clunky. Not fit for purpose

No access

Suddenly receiving error messages and unable to access the app!

Error

Keep getting an error & the app doesn’t work which is a problem because it’s my only way of sorting school dinners, breakfast & after school clubs.

Pointless app

Does not show information on child cannot see positive or negative behaviour does not update still showing year 7 data most pointless app in the world

I have to download an App to buy a book bag!

Really worrying that I can’t pay with cash to buy a simple book bag from a school, but I have to download an App to complete this task.

Worst app I’ve ever used

Given this app purports to support your child’s education, you’d hope the developers would have gone the extra mile to ensure it actually functions. It’s supposed to store all my kids’ school reports so that I can access them with one swipe. Except they’re all empty. No data within them at all. If only there was another way to see my kids’ progress other than the MyEd app. Good luck, all you fellow parents and carers out there.

Glitchy

Always having to enter new passwords. Now payment screen is blank, reinstalled and it’s the same. Worst app!

Errors

Showing unauthorised absences that the school don’t have on their records

Rubbish.

Want let you up loads photos of appointments to the school.

Not user friendly

It doesn’t rotate during the accelerated reader function . Accelerated reader only allows to proceed with a quiz when the screen is rotated. Can’t believe schools rely on apps like that. Rubbish.

Abysmal!!

This app is abysmal. I have wasted more time with failed payments and yet the card is fine for other vendors. Frustrating, time wasting rubbish!!

FIX IT! Version 3.9!🤬

This is a review for version 3.9
For all intent and purpose this app is dead.
It seems every update brings depreciation within this app. Zero notifications and no background refresh.
Why haven’t the developers got to grips with the issues. I think the developers should visit real world installations in schools and canvas opinions from the users of the app to see if that provides better quality of app development.
Come on developers time to use dimak and fix the app for good.

This is a review for version 3.5. This app still doesn’t display notifications for messages from school. A long running issue as my previous reviews below show. Forget about adding new features and window dressing and get the basics working first. #### This review is for versions 3.4. The app still is not working correctly notifications are not appearing as they should. There is no red flag on the app to show that a message has been received and the notifications don’t always appear a when a message has been received. This issue with notifications has been going on far too long to just say there’s a consistent bug. It just sheer incompetence. If the current developers don’t have the expertise to address the issues then get someone in who does. As I have said before I among thousands of other parents and students have no choice in using this app so to treated in this way is incredibly disappointing and disrespectful to your user base. All I want for Christmas is for this app to work. Merry Christmas —- This review is for version 3.2.4. Of course the app doesn’t function any better than before it got its facelift. I can not understand how the developer can continue to push out app updates which simply don’t address the problems users are having with this app. Even though this is a free app that works with your paid backend application software it should function adequately. I still don’t receive notifications for emails and in app SMS from my child’s school. This means that I have to continually check within the App for any messages the school has posted. This really is not good enough. I hope there will be an update soon that fixes this issue and the app will actually work as it did before this debacle started. I’m updating this review to reflect version 3.2.1. I thank the developers for providing better update information. The app has now started to provide notifications for when a message is received via in app chat. However there are still no notifications for when an email or SMS is received within the app. These did work before the app got its facelift. Again important information has been missed as a result. I have to ask just how difficult is it to ensure that the notifications work for all types of messages being received within the app? The app has also become incredibly slow to update email messages within the app. Come on developers, get your coding hats on, pull some all nighters and fix the issues for once and for all. We don’t want much, just a functioning piece of software. Oh and I did contact you via the message you sent me. What I got in return was an apology. So if you wish to apologise then just fix the software so I can get on with more important things. — This release (3.2) and the previous update have effectively broken the app. It no longer updates content within the app. You get notifications that there’s a new message but when you open the app there is no message. I have missed important information from the school. If the developers are reading this then it’s time to use the eight diagram pole style tech fu to get this fixed. Not only should more stringent testing be carried but more meaning notes on what the new update fixes should be provided. That way users can decide wether the update is worth installing. When you write “bug fixes“ it may as well be an actual insect that you are referring to as opposed to a fix for software.

Response from developer

Hi, the issue with notifications should be fixed, therefore if you haven't already, please could you get in touch by emailing mail@myedschoolapp.com and we can get some further information from you to try to figure out what the issue is.

Wouldn’t even 1star

Crashes all time, error pages forever on, not very informative because never up-to date. Overall poor way on keeping track of child’s progress

Stopped working

Used to work ok majority of the time but since the last update it won’t even load.

Response from developer

Hello, sorry to hear that. There is an update available (3.2.4), please could you try updating your app and email us at mail@myedschoolapp.com if you continue to have issues

App has stopped working

In the last couple of weeks the App has stopped working (after years of working fine). When I try to open it, the App immediately closes again.

NEEDS TO BE FIXED... as this is the primary way my children’s school communicates with parents

Error In opening App

Use to work fine u till yesterday now every time I try to open the app it just closes & goes back to my home screen.

Not opening

Since the update two weeks ago I can no longer open the app which is a pain as the school communicates through this app and I’ve missed a few things to do with my son

Error

Keeping getting a error in connection when trying to open the app. Used to work fine but last few months keeps saying error
