What's New in My Head Somm
1.1.0
May 7, 2026
The cellar just got a little more intelligent. In this release, My Head Somm gains the ability to see what you see — just point your camera at any wine label and let the app read it for you. The label scanner recognizes the wine name and variety, dropping them directly into the pairing or tasting note flow. No more typing Château names while autocorrect fights you at the table. And for those who love the ritual of documentation, you can now capture and save the label image itself as part of your tasting note. The bottle in your hand becomes part of the record you're building — a visual memory alongside your sensory ones. Under the hood, the scanner modal has been refined — the Cancel button behaves more cleanly, state clears properly when you switch between Pair My Meal and Pair My Wine modes, and the scan button now lives exactly where it should: right inside the wine input field. The varietal picker sheet has also been rebuilt as a native modal for better consistency across the app. Decantrix is still here, still listening. Now she can read the label too.
