About
My Little Shop turns your kitchen table into a real little shop - and your child into the world's proudest shopkeeper.
They build the shop. They stock the shelves. They ring you up, take your money and count your change back into your hand - just like the corner store, except the shopkeeper is six and the burger is a paper box you coloured in together.
PICK A SHOP AND OPEN THE DOORS
Start with a ready-made toy shop, sushi bar, Italian kitchen, French patisserie or the Sunshine Cafe - shelves already stocked - or build your own from nothing. Name it, pick its sign, set your prices. Grand opening in two minutes.
A TILL THAT REALLY WORKS
Big friendly buttons and real sums. Tap what the customer wants, take the notes and coins they hand over, and count the change out together. Real money from fifteen countries - dollars, pounds, euros, yen, rupees and more - so the shop runs on the money your child actually knows.
PRINT IT, FOLD IT, SCAN IT - THIS IS THE BIT THEY REMEMBER
Print play money and stuff the till. Print packaging and fold it into real things for the shelf - cereal boxes, cartons, chip scoops, a shopping bag, a wallet with its own coin pouch. Colour them in. Every packet carries a real barcode, and the camera scans it straight off the paper - beep! - into the till. The shop doesn't stay on the screen; it spreads across the whole table, and little hands are busy the entire time.
RESTAURANTS AND CAFES TOO
Set out the tables, take bookings by name, split the menu into starters, mains and desserts, and let the customer say how they'd like it cooked. Dinner service at the coffee table, and somebody small is running it.
SNEAKY AMOUNTS OF LEARNING
Here's the quiet magic: to keep the shop running, your child ends up recognising coins and notes, adding prices up, working out change, reading numbers, and practising the small courtesies of serving somebody. No worksheets. No "educational mode". They learn it because the shop is theirs and they want it to work.
MADE FOR FAMILIES, NOT FOR DATA
No accounts. No ads. No pestering. No internet at all - the app never sends anything anywhere, because it never talks to the network. Everything your child makes stays on your device. Nothing to switch off, nothing to worry about.
WHAT'S FREE, WHAT'S NOT
Free to play, properly: one shop, as many things to sell as you like, the whole till, every currency, the scanner, play money and barcode labels.
One optional purchase - The Whole Shop - opens as many shops as you like, all the fold-together packaging, restaurant tables and bookings, and the full sales history. Bought once, kept forever. Never a subscription.
You'll need a printer for the printable parts and a camera for the scanner. Everything else works on its own.
Made by a dad, for his daughter, who wanted to run a shop.
