My News Malaysia is dedicated to social journalism and patriotic campaigns. It's a place where journalism and activism collide. Despite there being thousands of other news portal on the web, My News Malaysia stood out by exclusively focusing on social positive journalism.
Unlike commercial journalism, which only attempts to influence decisions, social journalism seeks to connect us with other human beings. Social journalism has an uncanny power to make us stop, think and then take action to help a person, or a group of people, who we don’t even know, who might be from a foreign culture, living thousands of miles away.
