Don't waste your money
This app is too confusing and difficult to use. This didn't do what I thought it would do. I wanted a simple tool for use with video modeling with special needs students. This is NOT the app.

This app has tremendous potential to be amazing. Since the latest update, it crashes when you try to import an emailed story. please fix this!!!

Great app for quickly making videos for video modeling
I first heard about this app from an iPad workshop and was really excited to try it for video modeling. I used it this morning to make a video for a student and it took me less than hour to record, choose, edit, narrate, and sequence the video clips on my iPad. When I initially tried to watch the 2 min video after I added it to the story, the app crashed. I found it was helpful to cut the long video into short 18 second clips. That took care of the crashing problem and allowed me to segment the task into small steps for my student to learn the routine or skill. Great app!

Eases anxiety
Great simple to use app with our ASD child. Showing him picture stories cuts down on the anxiety level of going places with him. If he sees a picture, he knows to anticipate the event. No more meltdowns!
Loves this app, but keeps crashing
This is a fabulous app that is extremely useful in my work as a speech-language therapist. However, I have been having problems with it crashing anytime I use it with the video feature. Please help!

Superb therapy tool
As a private practice slp, I have found endless uses for this app. I use videos for commenting and sequencing. I have tons of pics of rooms and household items for teaching vocab. I made folders for individual kids so the actions, attributes, objects and people importants for them are all in one place for practice from a speech a/o language perspective. Great, versatile, highly recommended!

Useful tool!
I happened to use My Pictures Talk with a 4th grade group of students with varying needs. With little guidance they were able to apply text and voice recordings to photographs for an interactive newspaper. The possibilities are endless! It may not have tons of bells and whistles but it can model behaviors, tell stories and give a voice to all students. Applicable2U thinks it's worth the download and can apply to you too!!

Yes! Wonderful for work and play!
This is SO easy to do video modeling on the fly, or just take pics of my kids being silly!
You know how you get something with the intention of using it and then it just sits there because it either needs material prep time that you don't have, or you haven't had time to read the detailed instructions?
Well I'm happy to say I downloaded this app and immediately began to add my projects into it, success!
I love how easy and quick it is to take/input photos, videos... the audio is really easy to record on my 4th gen. ipod. I have used this at home with my son, who has autism- for safety reasons he is learning our phone number through this app. I have also used it at work with my speech and special needs students. As an example, I recorded my colleague demonstrating ASL vocabulary, and then played the videos of those ASL words when playing with a child.
I'd like to echo the suggestion for the next update to allow dragging/ reordering of photos and videos. This would make it more customizable and is really a must, especially when using the app with students for sequencing of events/ story retell. So 4 stars earned for a functional and fun app, and 1 more with the hope that the update will include this important request.

Thanks for letting me try your apps!!!!! I am having a great time. I am really loving My Pics! It makes sharing pictures SO easy!!! My students who can't talk can share their pictures, and it is so easy to search for pictures on google with your app, that we can find anything that is interesting to them!!!! I am also loving it for "regular" students. I can collect pictures for a theme (e.g. Tea around the world) and use the slideshow as part of our therapy/ class projects! So easy. What did I do before this app? Only thing I can think of that would make it better would be a manual sort option, instead of having to be creative in naming the pictures to sort them the way I want to show them.

Innovative idea with lots of applications and potential
My oldest daugther gave this app MANY thumbs ups. It took us a little while to understand the menus and navigation, but once we got the hang of it we really enjoyed associating our pictures with audio captions, and then playing them back to listen to our voices. It reminded me of when I used to play a tape recorder when I was younger, and record and re-record, just amused by the sound of my voice. I'll be eager to see how the functionality develops in future versions. What I like most is that the entire family can have fun with this app - together.

This is a neat app! I like how I can do mini recordings and e-mail/post to FB directly. Great for sharing those special moments with family & friends.
Fun and very useful!
Just downloaded and tested this app... Very simple to use and a unique way of using the camera and audio recording... plan to use it on a long trip with the kids and share the photos-talking with their grandparents. This will be great fun. Thank you for all your hardwork!
