Poor since upgrade
This app used to be so good and now it barely functions after the recent update. Issues include - app crashing, loss of sync with Strava (and difficult to re-establish) and notifications on the lock screen now just appear as a black box. It would be good to hear from Mahle about what they are doing to fix the issues.

Annoying
App seemed much better last week but once again failed to record ride and cannot connect to motor maps. I give up!
Reduced functionality
Worked fine for two years then suddenly stopped recording activities. No data saved for the last 5 months. Tried various settings but there doesn’t seem to be any support. Looked on a few forums. Nothing. Incorrect information saved ie: milage records of the bike.
Latest update problems
Since the update we’ve had problems with data lag (bike to phone) and massive phone battery drain during use.

Lost functionality
It appears that the App has lost the ability to remember multiple bikes. When I switch between my bike and my wife’s bike, I now need to Add a new bike each and every time. Seems a strange backward step.
Bad update
I installed the updated version this morning on my iPhone 15 with latest version of iOS & a very good battery. The new app refused to link to Strava, so I just thought I’d look in to that later….
My iPhone was at 87% battery at the beginning of my ride, but after only 75 minutes the phone battery was down to 10% so the iPhone went into power save mode and the app auto-paused and lost all ride data. Fortunately, I was only 20 minutes from home.
I checked the phone when I got home and looked at battery usage stats - this app alone consumed 74% of the battery during the ride.
The app may be OK for short rides, but is completely useless for a ‘normal’ ride.
This issue really needs fixing fast as leaving a rider stranded with a flat phone battery, or with no means of being location tracked via their phone is a safety concern. Until then, I’ll need to take a second phone with me on a ride.

Much better
App seemed much better today with Ribble bike - stayed connected, tracked route, no blank area left on phone after using and able to access motor map.

Useless since major update!
I’d used the previous version of the app for 18 months without issue. Since the update the app crashes during every activity, usually within the first 15 minutes of the ride and all ride data is lost. Motor maps are frequently unavailable. I’ve uninstalled the app completely, cleared cache and reinstalled it, made no difference whatsoever. Totally pointless using it now, I simply use it at the start of a ride to set the Smart Assist level then forget about it. Annoying!

Mahle Assist
Yet more problems with Mahle, this time data has gone and cannot connect to bike regardless of how many times I delete App and reinstall.
Appalling app since update
I’ve used this for 2 years no issues now in last few weeks it’s not fit for purpose. Not only does it drain battery I can’t access motor maps, it cuts out mid ride and I loose all data. I can’t find data such as levels of power used in a ride if it does save even save part of a ride. And although connected to strava it’s ceases to upload. I’ve tried all suggested remedies to no avail. Avoid if you have any other choices unfortunately I’m stuck with it and stuck with my last motor map assigned and no ability to change. Please please do something about this asap

Very Frustrating
Recent rides have been lost as the app crashes in the background.
Start a new ride and there’s an option to save the previous (crashed) ride, which in theory seems ok, except it doesn’t actually save that ride!!
I might have an “old”
X35 system but I expect the app to work 100% of the ride not just “maybe a short ride, if I’m lucky”!

Hopeless
To find out how much battery the bike has I have to connect the app….which is always an absolute pain in the arse.
This app is now broken!
I was loving this app to record my bike rides, but now it is seriously broken.
1st it insists on tracking my location always, not just when in use. Now I can’t remove the bike picture from the black lozenge, even when the app is not running. I have to stop tracking and restart my phone to get rid of it.
2nd, I’ve now tried to track a ride twice. I pause the ride for a tea, and then resume it. When I get home, I find it has lost half my ride. It offers to save my ride, but it never adds to my activities?
Greatly disappointed.

Pointless now
I used this for predominantly for an easy check of which power level I am using and the remaining battery life (as the iwoc Trio is such a poor display). The ride recording was also useful. Now - the battery drains too fast and my last 3 rides have lost connection well before the end of the ride. This app is now pointless. Another example of an upgrade that was unnecessary. Don’t download it.

Poor
The current app is not fit for purpose. It was fine before; stable; convenient; opened and closed without drama. Current version is very heavy on battery, consistently drops connection, fails to record full ride and then is impossible to finish using the app without closing down phone. Rubbish!!

Halfway through the ride the app lags then crashes. Unable to alternate through the assist levels unless done via the button on the bike.

The Auto HR assistance stopped working after the update
The auto HR worked flawlessly until the recent update. It completely stopped engaging the motor for auto assistance.
Won’t connect to Strava
Since the recent update the app won’t connect to Strava nor does it seem to record all the cycles. It says it’s saved it but doesn’t appear on your activity log. Very poor
