I am writing this review to warn all of you who are not aware of how billing and subscription works when you download an app from the Apple App Store. I downloaded an app the same day I downloaded My Talking Pet. When I downloaded the first app, I provided my email and billing information because that was the only way that I could obtain a trial period. I then downloaded My Talking Pet.
I did not sign up for any trial periods with My Talking Pet. I did not provide my email address. I did not provide any billing information.
Three days later I received an email from Apple, confirming my “purchase.” I was charged for a full year subscription. I contacted Apple Support. I spoke with a supervisor in the billing department.
I learned from Apple that my Information was “stored” when I downloaded the first app and that is how my Talking Pet was able to bill me after the trial period was over. I explained that I never provided any information for billing purposes to My Talking Pet. I assumed the app was free unless I activated a trial period. Apparently my Talking Pet activated that trial period for me. After three days had elapsed, I was charged the full amount for one year subscription. (Normally, when I download apps, I put a note in my calendar to delete the app within three days if I’m not satisfied with the app. I had no reason to do that with this app because I did not download a trial.)
So buyer beware. If you have downloaded several apps on the same day, planning to compare them and then delete some or all, YOUR BILLING INFORMATION IS STORED WHEN YOU PROVIDE IT TO ONE APP. All other apps downloaded during g a period of time (one hour, one day, I do not know because I downloaded these two apps within minutes of each other) have access to your billing information from the First app if you provided billing information.

Love this app
I use this app to invite family and friends to our outdoor movie nights. Been doing it since 2020 when it wasn’t safe to see a movie inside. It’s great way to get an invite. Our old English sheepdog invites everyone to the event. Folks look forward to it. Super fun

Best app ever!!!!! It is nice to send birthday cards of you can just do it for fun. For me it is amazing and funny. You can even do it to your own pets best app ever 10 stars if I could. You can make it look silly too 🤪🤪🤪🤪

Don’t keep looking this is the best one
I have been using my talking pet almost since it came out. I just did a deep dive into all the other new AI ones and this is still absolutely the best. If what you’re dealing with is a pet versus a person.
Funny and a smile-giver
This is a fun and cute way to send messages to kids and adults. Plus adding your own pets into the mix. 4 stars only because while funny, they developers don’t have good follow up (none actually) when I reported an issue and the app didn’t work for many days. No response ever but an update finally came through and it is working again.

Many times throughout my day to day life, I get requested to write reviews for products that I use and most of the time I’m too busy and I just scroll past, but not this time. I am a small animal companion practicing veterinarian and I discovered this app when the Covid pandemic began and I cannot thank the creator of this app enough for this wonderful PRICELESS tool! This app has changed how I practice medicine and I have been a veterinarian now for 21 years. When the veterinary community for everybody’s health and well-being made the move to shift gears to practice curbside medicine, many clientele became very uneasy or worse with the idea of their pets going into the hospital while their owners are able to be with them … but not at my practice! At my practice, I use this app to allow all of my clients to get messages, updates as well as important client communications about how they themselves experience their care with myself and my staff from their pets point of you. I do it for every patient, for every visit, and my clients cannot thank me enough! It put smiles on peoples faces, it alleviates stress and tension and worry about how their pets are doing… And most of the time, puts huge smiles on peoples faces and brings laughter into the experience which is more important these days than ever before.
So thank you so very VERY much to the creator of this app – THERE ARE NO WORDS TO EXPRESS MY APPRECIATION AND GRATITUDE!!! My talking pet is the best app of all time! It has truly changed my practice of medicine and has made me all the better for it.

Update doesn’t work
Worked fine till one week ago - now pitch and speed have stopped working
Voice pitch and speed don’t work.
I like this app. It was fun until the Voice manipulator stopped working.
