If you reach a high level, then start a new game, you lose that previous game, everything you unlocked and the 2x boost if you paid for it.
The differences between the free version & paid version are so insignificant, there is no point in getting the paid version. While you're offered gifts, actions & activities not in the free version, the responses from the game in the paid version is so similar to the free version, it's redundant.
