Mr

This app is more about them make money not you , you kind of working amd paying them even if you dont get any job . Absolute scam

Beware scams

Every day another scam job post, warnings of being locked out your account, or blocked if you don’t click on external links that steal your personal information and payment details.
Or 10s of that same job popping up in every location anyone excepting these is just loosing their money.
Also no vetting of the jobs posted is another issue, i must of spent thousands in lead costs, time and fuel pricing up jobs for people that don’t even own the property.
Basically they just want to use your quotes as a bargaining tool for buying a new home.

I would rather pay a larger fee once the costumer has confirmed that the tradesmen had been hired for the job.

Absolutely no way of contacting MyBuilder and no response to emails.

Not worth anyone’s time

There’s not much about the app it self it’s the format this has . Basically you’re paying them even without getting hired and some fees are not small so your first month clicking on various job proposals ends up paying a lot with not one job . Then you learn about bigger trick on this platform: THE INVITES. You are getting all excited about people wanting you to do the job. But no same old thing just better bait for you to pay the fee but the chances of getting hired did not get any higher. So basically customer leaving invites with no specs of the work . You have to pay to get this kind of info just for them to suddenly stop replying with no consequences without chance for refund.
AND THEN COMES THE WEEKEND: where you’ll receive 20 invites on average mostly late evening or early morning which all of them are scammers sending click baits .so not safe platform either. I’m giving it one or two more months and if there’s no improvement I’m deleting this stupid thing.

Plagued by scammers

The app for trades has never been perfect as the app can be bugging and not very user friendly. When I get a job lead customer I instantly request the customer to message on WhatsApp to avoid the cumbersome messaging on the app. The app simply just needs improvement.

Scammers:
Recently the app has now been plagued with scammers attempting to get information from the platforms users. 9/10 leads I receive now are a scammer job lead/post with a suspicious pdf or link attached. There’s so many I find it hard to see a genuine job lead.

I’ve been using the app for at least 2 years now and it has helped get extra work from genuine customers but recently it’s almost been non usable. It’s a shame because I need the work and customers need their jobs completed.

Scammers posting jobs

This app has recently become flooded with scam posting. It honestly isn't worth using this app at the moment. Hopefully the devs will introduce a system that allows trades people to look and bid for jobs safely. But until such time, I will be uninstalling the app.

Very Disappointing and Expensive Experience

Extremely disappointing experience with MyBuilder. I spent over £1,000 expecting to receive genuine leads and opportunities for work, yet I barely received anything worthwhile in return. Paying that much money for little to no results feels unacceptable, especially for small businesses and tradespeople relying on the platform to grow.

The lead system seriously needs to change. Tradespeople should not be paying huge amounts upfront without any guarantee of quality or even receiving leads consistently. Right now it feels heavily one-sided and unfair.

I used to believe this platform could help grow my business, but instead it became a very expensive mistake. MyBuilder really needs to rethink how it charges professionals and improve transparency and fairness for the people funding the platform.

Unbelievably expensive

9£ just to be shortlisted in small jobs, honestly don’t know how you can justify

DO NOT USE!!!!!!

Started out as a self employed carpet fitter and a friend told me about this app to help get me started.

First of all you get charged for the lead even if you don’t get the job they simply just take your money with 1 click of a button and this app doesn’t even require an account on the customer side to create a job listing so essentially you can give fake details take peoples money from them and you might never get your money back and if they do give you the money back it’s account credit apps just full of chancers and fake jobs avoid this app like the plague

Avoid

It’s a nice idea but the support is appalling and billing dishonest. Impossible to get meaningful support .avoid

SCAM

This is a complete scam. Be careful, this app is worthless. They charge you for jobs even when clients don’t hire you

One of the worst app ever I used as a gas engineer

Customers ask for quotes if they are agree or not this app will charge you each job. This app don’t care if you done your job or not they only provide customer and charge for it. Never use it my honest opinion it’s a scam

Trades Feedback

It has really helped in my cleaning business.. getting clients has been possible
Thank You

Unknown charges. No response from contact form

EVERYONE HAVING SAME ISSUE PLEASE REPORT TO TRADING STANDARDS !!!!!!
SCAM!!!! I have been getting random charges on the MyBuilder app. I had used the app to get a job on the 15th of February. I hadn’t used the app since. Now it says I owe £32. I used the contact form multiple times and haven’t gotten a reply. This app is a scam. A customer also shortlisted me just to tell me the job has been completed. When I used the contact form, I was ignored again. This app is a joke. Complete joke. It’s become a scam now. And customer service is terrible. If this isn’t resolved soon I will have to take things further. Now I have been replied by email and the reply was useless. I explained that I have not applied for jobs to be shortlisted.

Hi Khudraaa, We’d genuinely like to look into this further for you and get to the bottom of the charges you’ve mentioned. There may be some account activity we can review together to clarify what’s happened and make sure everything is correct. In the meantime, we’d also strongly recommend updating your login details (including your password) to ensure that only you have access to your account, as this can help rule out any unauthorised use. Please reach out to us again directly with your account details so we can investigate this properly and work towards a resolution as quickly as possible. Have a great day, Carol!

Shortlist fees are a joke

Get charged £300 in shortlist fees to only get 1 job that earns £100(joke) not profitable for trades

Should only be charged if hired

Waste of time and money

Only a 1* as there isn’t an option for no stars!
You pay for leads and the customer doesn’t answer you or you wait a few days for them to tell you they have used someone else already.
Complete and utter waste of time, leads are unvetted and often have next to no information, customers don’t reply to you once they shortlist you (the point my builder charge for it). To top it off, you contact customer services and they don’t get back to you either. Complete disappoint, try an app which is actually useful instead!!!!

Dont waste time and money

Waste or time and money. People are jot serious on this app and the app fools people so they can charge the trades people for nothing. Absolutely hated this app.

Used to be a good generator of leads

This used to be a great generator of leads giving good value on return. However more recently it’s become a place for fake/ghost leads! You submit an estimate prior to being shortlisting, customer doesn’t see or read this!! Shortlists (I’m charged) only to ask for a price & then ghosted!! Refund policy is too long! My conversion rate on other apps is ranges from 75-95% on here is below 30% same areas of work, same region, same pricing structure!! Be wary of fake leads other apps seem to be better & offer better refund policies if fakes are posted. I’ve also sent this to customer services not just a blind rant! I’m giving this another month then I’m done. FYI been a user for about 3 years.

Hi Juansecada, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback and for being with us for the past 3 years, we genuinely appreciate your long-term support. We’re really sorry to hear that your recent experience hasn’t matched the value you previously saw on the platform. We understand how frustrating it can be when a customer shortlists but then doesn’t continue the conversation, or when it feels like the initial estimate isn’t being considered. While we work hard to attract genuine customers and filter out low-quality enquiries, we know that not every lead will convert, and we’re continuously improving how leads are qualified and presented to tradespeople. Regarding refunds, our support team reviews each request carefully to ensure they meet the criteria, and we appreciate you already raising your concerns directly with them. If you haven’t received a resolution yet, please feel free to send us a email with your account details so we can take another look and ensure your feedback is passed to the relevant team. Have a great day, Carol!

Very disappointed

I recently tried another platform similar to this one, thinking it might be better, but unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing. I did not opt into the “Message Sustainer,” as I felt the leads were overpriced, so I simply left the platform. Despite this, I received a message from a supposed interested party asking me to call them. I called several times, leaving both voicemails and chat messages, but received no response.

To my surprise, I have now been billed £21 for being “automatically shortlisted,” which I did not request or authorize. This feels highly unfair and frustrating. It seems like every step of the way, charges are being applied without proper consent.

Response from developer

Hi Zedmondo, Thank you for sharing your experience, and I’m really sorry to hear about the frustration this has caused. To clarify, being automatically shortlisted would only occur if the invite from the customer was accepted. When an invite is accepted, the system shortlists you for that customer and the fee is applied. That said, if you’ve tried contacting the customer several times and haven’t received any response, we completely understand how frustrating that can be. In situations like this, we recommend submitting a refund request through our contact form so our team can review the interaction and determine whether a refund can be issued. Please also feel free to reach out to us as soon as possible so we can look into this with you directly and make sure we provide the right support with this query. We’re here to help and want to resolve this for you. Have a great day, Carol!
