Linking Components

I’ve watched numerous videos and read endlessly about getting my SR S 12 speed set up and running, without any success. Videos linked from this app are in Italian and not helpful to me. My Shimano 105 Di2 setup took 10 minutes. Come on Campy, make things less tortuous!

Utterly useless

Tried to pair with the blue button on the shifter, didn’t work. App didn’t recognise the PIN code on the derailleur. Unforgivably bad given the cost of the groupset.

A waste

The most frustrating app I have ever dealt with. The designers have no idea what “user friendly” means.

Still Poor

Are you sure you won a Red Dot award and not a red flag award? Updated, finally, and it led me update the firmware. Has only lost shifting ability once since. Not perfect but certainly beats 3-4 times in a 25-30 mile ride. Biggest issue now is the fact that it never remembers you. I have to sign in and repair the group almost every time I use it. Again, feeling as if those of use who bought wireless 12 should get a Beta tester discount on the new 13 groupo.

Shifter unable to update

After hours and hours of waiting and trying everything, the app is unable to update the rear derailleur and get it connecting.

Lack of support for 11:34 cassette

Very, very frustrating to buy a 12 speed 11:34 cassette only to find that the MyCampy app doesn’t support it. How utterly ridiculous!

Why sell a component part which you can’t add to the app?

Seriously

Got the groupo last year and the app, limited but zero issues. Then you update and advertise that it is “award winning” and update. I did and it went to a black screen whenever you opened. Deleted and reinstalled to get it to work. Today I tried to check battery levels and it wouldn’t login. Deleted and reinstalled and now it wants me to reconnect the groupo but won’t recognize it. Do I need to pull all of this off and sell it? R.E. Developer response, that is what I said I did an app update should not require having to delete and reinstall. Old version kept making me reconnect to the group. Lately, saying there was a firmware update needed for group but instead of doing that, it would just load the status page. Since then, a new update and had to do the same but at least it allowed me to update the firmware. Hopefully that solves the shifting or working 3-5 times a ride. Do those of us that bought 12 speed wireless get a Beta tester discount on the new groupo since you made mine obsolete in less than a year?

Response from developer

To resolve black screen you have to uninstall and reinstall the app. With new app and new firmware battery level issue is fixed

Useless

No longer runs an update on components. App became useless as without an update shifting programing is impossible

Latest upgrade to 1.3.0(99)

App insists I need a firmware update for my Super Record 12s WRL but doesn’t make the update available. I have reinstalled the app.

An Exercise in Frustration

Version 1.3.0 -
Support for 13-speed group seems to have broken 12-speed updates and setup. I tried to configure a 12-speed group, got an update firmware notice, clicked update and… nothing. Tried reinstalling, repairing turning my iPhone upside down, muttering incantations and so on. Now my 12-speed group can’t be configured beyond the endless button clicking on the levers. These groupsets may be great but the app is primitive. Compare with the full-featured software from SRAM and Shimano.
“Chainrings” is still misspelled.

Version 1.2.18 - Unbelievable! “Chainrings” is still misspelled as “chianrings.” Makes me wonder about the overall quality control. How can the developers continue to miss this?

Version 1.1.1 - the cassette and chainring labels are still reversed and “chainrings” is misspelled.

I've left two reviews on the iPhone app store but they haven't shown up. One is on the MacOS App Store. We need some kind of tutorial or video to make use of this app. I've only found one page in Italian on the web site. 1 - the labels for cassettes and chainrings at the bottom of the bike screen are reversed. 2 - does the multishift button result in functionality like that in the SRAM and Shimano apps, i.e., if you shift chainrings, the rear derailleur compensates by the number of cogs you specify? 3- can you only have one bike registered in the app at a time? I have two wireless groupsets so do I need to pair and unpair each group when I switch bikes? Not very convenient. 4 - all the electronic groups need a really good supporting app. It's not enough these days just to have good shifting, as it was in the mechanical era. Users expect more. I know I do. Don't have a funky app. Get some good software engineers and build something great. Thanks!

Buggy App

The app doesn’t connect sometimes. Other times forgets your group set. Forgets your login credentials so you’re dependant on external password storage. If you upgrade the app version it won’t display battery life until you do a software update of all four wireless components!

Shock app - waste of time

Battery levels are invariably wrong - a major problem with battery drain often locks you out. Frankly it is a complete and utter waste of time. I really wish I hadn’t purchased the group set and be subjected to so many problems not what you expect from Camag

It works

Not the smoothest or best flowing, but better than Shimano, potentially at times better than Sram. None of these apps are great

Great update

For those having the login issue - you need your delete the app and download it again. It fixed it for me

Disaster of an update

Very briefly shows the batteries, and then it forces me to login; only to see a solid black screen that never changes. How can I roll this back to the previous version of the app? Campolo please fix this mess.

Not working

Not working after last iOS update. Please fix.

A function to add another Group Set

I have 2 bikes both with the wireless campy GS.

To perform updates and check battery, I need to forgot one GS to then pair the other.
Please can you update the app so you can add multiple GS’s

Thanks
