BE CAREFUL

I like this app and I was absolutely willing to pay the £7.99 a month to use it through my Apple subscriptions BUT they have randomly decided to charge me £49.99 and I have NO idea what for?! I did not consent to any yearly subscription because I physically cannot afford to pay £49.99 upfront, hence why I opted for monthly payments. I have now cancelled the Apple subscription so it will end after the free trial as I am now massively put off by this. I have emailed there support team and they have 48hrs to respond and refund me before I do a charge back through my bank. Thanks. 19/08/2024

Too expensive

Unfortunately the price limits who can use the app.

In a well funded education setting it’s ok. But if they’re underfunded (which many are) or for family use at home, the price makes it unattainable for many which is a shame for a charity who tries to make life more inclusive.

Not accessible to those who need it

My son has speech delay and we have been using makaton since he was tiny. I’ve not had any training on it and was looking for an app to support us both going forward.

I downloaded this as it says it’s created alongside the makaton charity, created an account and then added my child. Then I was told I had to pay £7.99 a month. I do not have £7.99 a month spare for an app!

I want to support my child as best I can and I’m unable to do it because there’s no free version. A 7 day trial is unhelpful…
