Crashed and lost data
I spent a considerable amount of time entering cocktails until the app crashed. When I reopened it, my cocktails were gone. I think this app has been dipping into the well drinks.

Hello Peter, I’m very sorry to hear that the app crashed and you lost your drink recipes. That’s unusual with the new updated version of MyCocktailBook. I’ve spent countless hours adding new recipes to my app, but luckily it’s never crashed on me. Could you please let me know what model of iPhone / or iPad you are using and when you installed the application? I always appreciate any positive or negative feedback from users in order to make improvements on future updates. My aim was always to help other drink enthusiasts by giving them an application to store their own recipes, so thank you for your feedback and I will do everything I can to follow up and make sure any future improvement are user friendly and reliable. Not for the horizontal!
As a free app very reasonable and English! Other apps tend to be American and with alien or American Brand ingredients.
Have installed and then deleted several of these.
However would be nice if it displayed landscape mode (horizontal) on the iPad especially when using with a keyboard stand.

No usable search
I like the list of cocktails, no the notes about them. But not being able to search properly is going to make me uninstall. Every cocktail belongs only to the General category, so if I select Gin, I get no results. Further searching by keyword appears to only search the cocktail name and not the ingredients. It is impossible to get a list of Gin cocktails.
I'm sure this would be a 5* app if the categories and search were fixed

I love this app, but it has glitches
I love this app but it freezes if you try to edit a photo of an existing drink and there are a few recipes you can't delete or it freezes. Also, I can't toggle between categories. Otherwise, I love this app and have a great need for it as a bartender where we have over 100 cocktails on the menu as well as 100s more we have to know that aren't on the menu. I just wish I could insert pictures of our version of the cocktail.

Still a winner in 2014!
This may be an older app (perhaps abandoned by its creators?), but in my opinion it is the best, largely for the same reasons the previous reviewer noted. I wanted an app in which I could enter, in a single place, the many cocktail recipes I’ve highlighted in various books or gathered over the years. What makes this app stand out is its adaptability. It allows me to add not only my own cocktails, but my own drink categories (e.g., Rye Drinks) and my own glass categories (I can add photographs of my preferred glasses as well). The app includes some nice recipes, but not an overwhelming number, and these can be freely modified or even deleted. True to the app's name, the result is MY cocktail book and doesn’t contain thousands of unmodifiable recipes that I don’t want. (I’d take a star off for it not yet being updated to iPhone 5 size, but I give it back for the unbeatable price and superior functions). Note to developers: Please consider updating—you could charge for this thing!

Best cocktail app
Went to the bar where the guy who made this app and tried them first hand and they were by far the best cocktails I have ever tried! The app is easy to use and has all his top award winning recipes all presented in an easy to read format! Recommend this app for anyone who wants to wow friends
Just what I needed!!
Basic app to store recipes but I mean that in a good way. There are tons of apps with recipes but none that you can add to, unless you pay for an upgrade. This app does come with a few pre-loaded recipes but you can delete them if you want. I wanted this as a place to store recipes I create, come across or just tried & tested. It's perfect for that!! And I can easily share them too!
