HELP

Cordialement.

Not working

Please issues an update. After I installed IOS 11 it is not working. Thanks

Unreliable !

The actual recording part of this app works well. What doesn't work is The servers that are supposed to be supported by the company. Nearly every weekend, the servers shut down and my dictation cannot be uploaded. Consequently stat or urgent transcription cannot be done and I am left to go back to the old fallback, Dragon dictate. There is no customer service available on the weekends. I think the developer who is an orthopedist thinks that just because he wasn't on call as an orthopedist that he doesn't have to be on call as a software owner. That is crap! Complete disrespect for the chumps who bought it.

Dications are held hostage until subscribing

I started using this app, thinking it was a good, functional, easy to use app. Until I got told my "trial subscription expired" and I needed to pay a recurring fee to re-enable the ability to download my dictations.
This is not a one off purchase yet the app is built as one - the webserver to download it is local to the app. They are just locking the files in there until you pay a recurring fee.
To me, that's unethical business - charging for a "service" when there is no service being provided.
Oh and they deliberatley don't let you download them through iTunes either - they have you locked in and you'll pay because you're held to hostage.
I want to swear, but that means this won't get published and they will still peddle unethical behaviour to others...

Working great

Have been using this app for over 2 years for dictation of home inspections. I can dictate my inspections upload to their web site (for a fee ) and my office can dowload and begin typing into report. You do have to pay for the service but is well worth if you use it. Customer supprt not good. But very happy with app.

Wonderful, terrible app

I had actually thought I had found the dictation app I was looking for: one that would allow me to rewind my dictated notes by five seconds, which actually isn't a feature in any other dictation app I've seen so far.

However, not too long after I had recorded multiple interviews, my notes had suddenly vanished. All of those interviews, just gone.

I went to this page and read the following words: "The app includes a free 30 day subscription." That's right. This isn't a free app at all. It's a bait and switch. And it cost me a dozen interviews.

The worst thing about it is I would have gladly paid a few dollars up front to have an app this good.

ZipChart Inc. has lost me as a customer.

Vorsicht: FINGER WEG!

Vorsicht! Da wirst du dich wundern: WENN DU DEINE AUFNAHMEN WIRKLICH NUTZEN WILLST, MUSS DU DICH REGISTRIEREN LASSEN ...

+Editieren
+Aufnahme an beliebiger Stelle fortsetzen
+einfaches Schneiden
+Visuelle Wellenform
etc.

-teures Abo

Truly awful interface!

The interface is horribly unintuitive and a horror to use.

Attention Arnaque !!

Causing iPhone CPU to continuously operate - Freezing PHONE!

I have been thru five iPhones because I thought the phone was at fault. AFter exhaustive testing, I discovered with the help of SysInfoTools to establish the culprit: MyDictationPro version 3. It is the only app after process of elimination that causes memory loss and constant "nagging" of the CPU eventually heating up the phone, causing poor battery performance and locking the phone up. When I removed this application, the phone operated normally. STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP. I would demand my money back and sue them for pain and suffering if I could!!!

Bait and Switch?

I've tried 6 to 10 iPhone voice note apps. I use a recorder for capturing quick "To Do" thoughts In May of 09 I replaced my previous favorite ("Recorder" by Retronyms). My feelings about this switch were always a bit mixed, and perhaps driven in large part because myDictation tells me how many notes I've accumulated on the logo on the iPhone's desktop. It was also faster than some of the others I had tried, though not necessarily faster than "Recorder".

myDictation was a free download. When I first downloaded it, I'm reasonably sure it offered the ability to download some or all of my accumulated notes as a zip file though my WiFi. I didn't often download my notes, reviewing them on the iPhone instead. Some months ago I wanted to download some. Upon trying, it told me the app had expired, and I needed to download the enhanced "Pro" version. It was still free. However, I did not allow me to access or download my notes on the earlier non-pro version. If there were other differneces between the Pro and non-Pro versions they didn't do anything for me.

Sometime later I tried to ZIP and download all my notes again. This time it told me I had to register, at ~$4.95 to download my notes. I registered. It also offered a more expensive registration, apparently for physicians that I declined since it appeared to offer no additional funcionality I was intersted in. That was ~March 2010. Now, about two months later, upon trying to download my notes again, it tells me that the application has expired and I need to pay $9.99 to purchase a subscription to the application. Meanwhile, as this application (or my 3G firmware) has "evolved" the apps start up time has gotten significantly slower. At this point, on the AppStore page it does note that the app is free, though lower down it notes the $9.95 and $4.95 fees. I don't recall the page noting that a year ago when I first starting using this app. I would have prefered that it charge me up front for the initial download rather than later hitting me with additonal fees. The application continues to be funcational, though without note download capabiltiy since I have not paid the $9.95 subscription fee. However, the way this has gone, if I continue using myDication without subscribing, I suspect that at some point it will no longer work, and will no longer let me listen to my accumulated messages.

In light of the slower start, and what I see as bait and switch tactics, I think it's time to revert back to Recorder (which does let me download notes, though only in AIFF format) or go looking for since published voice recorder applications.

Voice recordings not designed to email

This app is not designed to email voice recordings. Very unhappy with this app!! The original voice recording that comes with the iPhone does allow for emailing voice recordings. Much happier with that one.

Decent app

Well it is free so you can't really complain. The design is lacking quite a bit but the recording and syncing to the computer work reasonably well so I am happy with that part. I just dowloaded a different app to try out to see if it has a better UI

Dr

The App may be free but it then costs $19.95 per month to access your recording. What a mean trick! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I love it

I'm not a doctor but I am going to school to be a nurse and I use this app to record my teachers lectures. It picks up sound way better than the recorder that comes on the iPhone and can record for hours. The recorder on the iphone will only go up to 30minutes. I love this app. It's been very very helpful.
