Not a fan
I’ve been using this app for over a week to read one book from an author I love. As much as I like her, I will be stopping after this book.
I hate that I have to purchase for each chapter. I just want to buy the book and read. Instead of turning pages, it’s scrolling.
This app has turned reading into a chore, which is a bummer because there are so many interesting stories.

Enjoyable reading
If you’re into serialized reading, this is the best app. Well thought out layout, great authors, US based team that treats authors well.
Crashes way too much
I just downloaded this app to read a book and the minute I purchase some coins and go to the next chapter it crashes and it’s happened like 4 times already. Y’all really need to fix this.
Most expensive reading app ever
This has to be the most expensive reading app I have used. 1) The reader gets one voucher daily from watching an ad BUT you’re lucky if it works without having to uninstall and reinstall several times before it lets you. 2) You also get a voucher after checking in continuously for 10 days straight. If you forget to check in on any day the count starts over. Heaven forbid you forget to check in on day 9 or 10! 3) You also get a chance to win a voucher by popping a balloon but most likely you’ll get worthless experience points.
The only good thing about this app are the novels. The novels are pretty good but be prepared to pay a high price.

Probably one of the most expensive app ever
I read a review saying there are many opportunities try get free chapters. That is not true. You have to check in for 10 days straight to get ONE! voucher for a free chapter. And if you miss checking in, it starts all over. You do get to watch an ad daily to get a voucher but a lot of times to have to uninstall and reinstall the app several times to get the ad to play. There is a “game” to pick a ballon where you may get a voucher but most of the time it’s worthless experience points. When you need 20,000+ exp points to move to the next level and you only get 6 points! *LOL* I don’t see the point especially with it only gets you “voting” rewards..no additional voucher ever!

Very expensive
The books are good however this is probably one of the most expensive reading apps I’ve used AND the readers hardly get any benefits for checking in daily. You get ONE voucher per day by watching an ad. Most of the time you have to uninstall and reinstall the app for you to be able to get the ad. Then you have to check in daily for 10 days straight to get ONE VOUCHER! Oh and don’t get me started on measley “experience points” you get daily. Those are worthless to the reader. Each chapter cost between 8 and 12 coins. For 20 USD you only get 1000 coins. I’m reading a book that has over 300 chapters. I refuse to spend 60$ on any book! I’ll say it again, THIS APP IS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE!!!

Crashes and stalls
This app’s regular crashing and worse stalling for a day or more is awful!!
Great App!
-This is a very good app! It is well maintained and easy to use. There are few glitches and if anything does go wrong, the app people are QuickTime to respond! There are many excellent authors to choose from. Authors update on a regular basis.
-The cost is not prohibitive and there are many opportunities to earn “free” chapters!
-I have used many reading apps, and over all, I would say this app is the best one I have ever used!

The app will is ok
Love the stories but getting free chapters is a joke. You can get one free chapter a day by watching an ad but I’m constantly having delete and re-add the app the get the option to watch the ad. You also get a free chapter by checking in for 10 days straight but heaven forbid you forget and miss a day. That starts the checkin over. The experience points are a joke. They do nothing for the reader and it takes thousands on points to move to the next level so worthless.

Meet in the Middle
Relatively easy to use app, rarely crashes, my understanding is it is more supportive of authors than other apps (the reason for moving over). I dislike the model for earning vouchers to use on chapters. My issue is it tells you to watch an ad, but despite checking several times a day, I can only watch one on average once every four days. Essentially, you pay for all chapters. Other ways include sending a gift, checking in daily for 10 days, review an author, review a book, and send a gift. In reality, how often will that happen unless you jump around?

A superior reading app finally available!
I happily followed several of my all-time fave authors like Aimee-Lynn, JasmineJosef, Emme, RedSonia, etc. to MFR & I’m so glad I did.
This app has beautiful & simple design. Easy to see which stories are: Featured, Upcoming, & Popular. There are 3 “bookshelves” for your saved stories: Library, Completed & Future Reads. I can still enjoy commenting/interacting with readers & authors but MFR does censor like crazy. Voting is simple, I still have my black background to save my eyes, easily level up to earn more voting & hitting daily bonuses is simple. I’ve even won tons of coins from my fave authors just by being active & updated. I like the authors profile to see which books they have out that’s divided by: Ongoing, Completed, & Upcoming. Authors seem much happier & producing incredible content that won’t be held hostage by a contract forever. That’s how they’ll be able to keep these authors that have brought so many readers over to MFR in the 1st place.
The best part — CHAPTERS ARE FAIRLY PRICED! My coins last sooooo much longer on MFR. I’m cancelling my WN monthly membership & deleting WN once I’m finished reading the last 2-3 novels I’ve already invested in & moving to MFR 100%. I’d gladly pay a monthly membership subscription for MFR for monthly coins if they had one. But their fair prices for chapter unlocks & bundle purchases aren’t breaking the bank for me like WN was. I’ve tried leaving WN several times now but no other reading apps have been anything worthy until learning of MFR from Jasmine & 100% worth moving over knowing I’m NOT missing out on my favorite writers forever.
It’s worth installing. No doubt about it.

Video ad for free voucher not available
The app shows you can get a voucher to unlock a chapter for free by watching a video ad. However since the last update there have been zero ads available to get the voucher. I’ve removed and reinstalled the app in the past and that seemed to fix the problem but now it does not! It’s like they fix one issue just to create another or they just don’t want to give readers the one measly voucher per day.

Lag time
I really like the app but when you have been reading for over an hour and the app only shows 3 mins of reading, it’s very discouraging. I was also denied a voucher after watching an ad. Issues like this make it hard to continue using the app.

My account login corrupted or was hacked. NO help chat line!! Feedback not answered with multiple tries. Created new password
just to have all my coins & purchased book chapters deleted :(
Then!! I can’t pick chapters but have to buy in order!! That means 100s of bought chapters to buy again if I want to get to where I was. NOT a user friendly app. :(.
The one star is for the books & authors that brought me here from another app. Their work is superb & they should be represented better than this. I see it as a betrayal of our good trust. :(. (The issue of no consistent way to earn vouchers is nothing compared to this.).

FINALLY a reading app worth having!
I am blown away by this app. They are doing so good right from the beginning. Easy to navigate and lots of great options. They are actually listening to our input and making the changes we want to see most as well. I’m excited to see this app grow! Keep up the great work! Love the books on here also! Aimee Lynn-Lane is one of my favorites 🥰

Great book app with great stories
Finally! A clean, easy to use and easy to read app for my phone with really original stories and great storylines. I like how we can comment on chapters and vote for our favs and even send a gift. Really makes me feel like I’m part of an ebook club community :)
