Bad design

The app is super slow and way too complicated. Nothing is easy to find or get to. Needs a serious makeover.

Love this app!

I love how this app functions as a calendar for school events! And that’s it! The inability to actually use it as an academic portal just adds to its charm :) i absolutely love that I can’t use this app for literally anything that I would use mygcc for! It’s so quirky! Every Grove City student really needs this app!

It's alright

App is very limited, but fast and functional for the info it provides.

Wish I could give it 0 stars

Absolutely terrible. I can't access the coursework page for a class so it's impossible to see when a specific assignment is due if it's not the very next one due. The whole thing is not student centered, and everything is buried deep in menus. Just put a link to the website on your home screen, except now you can't get to the coursework page from the mobile site. Great work, Jenzabar. I have a hard time imagining what could make this worse.

Literally laughable

As a GCC student this app is incredibly hard to use and when you can figure out how to use it, there’s literally nothing to be done or to be used. Let me check my Chapel credits, bested timecard hours or do something slightly useful.

Awful design, not student centered

What an awful app. Not only does it not follow mobile design guidelines, it also manages to be extremely complicated to use. The app's main categories are things which NO student wants to see, such as Facebook, Twitter, and the local weather. We use other apps for that already. Few students care about announcements or public calendar, yet those are also given high priority in the interface. What students want is an easy way to check grades, assignments, and account balances and this app puts all of those features in obscure menus which are hard to find. Try again, Jenzabar. You never fail to produce awful software.

Blah

When I saw MyGCC, I assumed that it would be just a simple mobile friendly version of the website. Instead, there is no academics tab, so I can't check my grades or courses. There's no student tab, so I can't see how many chapel credits I need. Not that MyGCC was the best site in the world, but there are quite a few vital features on that website that the app is missing.

Less intuitive than the broken website

MyGCC was known for being more difficult to navigate than Pan's Labyrinth itself, yet this manages to take that misguided mess and consolidate it into an even more jumbled, confusing maze than the website.

Not only do you need to sign in every time you use the app, it adds many new and useless features like weather and miscellaneous announcements about things that don't really matter. What students actually want is a streamlined place to check grades, class schedules, and account balances.

If this is the app with which we will be checking the status of the new laundry machines, it's going to be a hot mess.

How did this pass Apple Design Guidelines?

Primarily web views, doesn't optimize for iOS, and completely useless info that would be easier to find in a web browser. This should not have been approved by Apple. The design aspect is ugly and not intuitive.
