Created on 12th June, 1957, the Cameroon Employers’ Organisation (GICAM) is the most representative organization of the private sector in Cameroon. It is governed by Law No. 90/053 of December 19, 1990, on freedom of association.
GICAM brings together professional groups and individual companies. As such, it has over 1,000 members to date.
GICAM is the private sector's representative to public authorities on major economic issues, including:
• Business environment
• Acceleration of growth
• Business competitiveness
• Promotion of second generation agriculture
• Vocational training
• Youth employment
• Promotion of the national economic space
• Development taxation
• Infrastructures
• Business ethics.
