A effect Mandarin learning tool

This app provides a useful way to learn and practice Chinese. It gives a step-by-step tutorial to guide the study. With a short time of learning, I can now communicate to my Chinese colleagues using simple sentences. A very good Chinese learning app!

I am updating my review as the company has went through with their promises after a drastic update that paywalled a lot of what made them unique. This app is a full resource unlike many others. Not only is there learning content based off of HSK levels plus much more but there is speaking practice using a response method, writing practice, and the best part is the built in translator. It is extremely hard to find a good mandarin translator and this one I find is the most reliable with the pinyin and character meaning breakdown. It truly is an all in one app and has allowed me to deleted the million other language apps to just have this one!

During the migration to the new version, course access for existing learners didn't carry over the way we intended, and we've since restored full access to those courses at no cost. New update problem

Dear MyMandarin developer, I’m writing a review to let you guys know if the new update is the problem for practicing 汉字 since after I finished writing one word the writing practice immediately finished. The app itself is a great resource for learning Chinese as it has almost all the feature. But the migration was quite a hassle since I needed to figure out how it works. Overall, it is a good app and I hope you guys can fix the problem or is it just the new update thing where it limits user to practice writing? I can’t figure out for that part, apart from that there’s no problem.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. We have fixed the writing issue so that your saved words should show up in your writing practice again. Fully quitting the app and reopening it once or twice should bring it in, and if it doesn't appear right away, updating MyMandarin from the App Store in the next few days will. For context, we had done a re-design where you are able to select which exact words to enable for writing, but we understand the process of enabling is hard to discover, and we aim to make this more intuitive for users. We know the transition to the new version takes some getting used to, and if any part of it still feels unclear we would genuinely love to hear which parts, as that helps us keep refining it. This app has blown me away. I’ve been trying to learn Chinese for three years now and have not found an app that has everything you need and which tracks your progress super intuitively. The graphics are really cute and they give the most free content I’ve seen across other similar language apps. Download this if you’re serious about learning Chinese. SOO RECOMMEND!

I really love using this app so far!

This app has it all in such a creative and clean format! Has vocab “packs” that I actually look forward to opening, writing/strokes practice (which is so cool to me after years of Chinese school writing in those grids), a comprehensive dictionary/search feature, practice that judges how accurately you speak and write, and more. I feel like I can take advantage of all the features to really curate my own learning, without it being overwhelming, and the features actually help. And the mandarin mascot is so cute!!!

i've never loved learning chinese this much

this app has totally changed my relationship with learning mandarin. i actually enjoy it. getting the strokes right on characters. personal feedback that's making me speak more naturally. spaces repetition that takes all the effort out of really remembering. one of the coolest things was recently opening an app completely in chinese, and instead of freezing, feeling confident enough to navigate thru and check out everything i wanted.

so worth getting. truly rewarding.
