What kind of weather information does MyObservatory provide?

The app offers current weather details such as temperature, relative humidity, rainfall, wind direction, and speed. It also displays weather photographs captured from nearby weather stations at your location or specified areas.

How often is the weather data updated?

Weather photos and rainfall data are updated every 5 and 15 minutes, respectively. Other weather data is refreshed every 10 minutes, with the last update time shown on the main page.

Is MyObservatory a free app?

Yes, the app itself is free to download and use. However, users will be charged by their mobile network service provider for data usage, which can be significant when roaming.

How does the notification service work?

Notifications for weather warnings, special tips, and location-based rain forecasts are delivered via Apple Push Notification service. Due to network and device factors, there might be a delay of 5 to 20 minutes or more for notifications to be received.

Can I customize my location for weather reports?

Yes, in the 'My Location Settings,' you can choose to use your smartphone's automatic location service or manually designate your 'My Location' on the map. This chosen location will be displayed on the main page and in 'My Weather Report'.
